HomeMy WebLinkAbout1946-03-18 Minutes(Copy of contract with Jack & Bessie Reed C O N T R A C T This comtaet made and entered into on this the � day.of March, 1986,by and between Jack Reed and Bessie C.Reed, his wife and in her own right, hereinafter designa owners and the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, hereinafter designated the purchaser, WITNESSETH: The owners hereby grant to the purchaser the right to remove any and all limestone, wh°ther in, on or under the following described real estate, situate in Washi ton County, Arkansas, to wit: The East part of that tract of land located in Sections Twenty -one (21), Twenty-two (22) and Twenty-seven (27) in Township Seventeen (17) Nort Range Thirty (30) West of the 5th P.M., purchased by the aforementioned owners from the Ozark White Lime Co., Inc., dated February 9th, 1946;0 not to excedd 100 acres. The consideration for the privilege of taking said limestone shall be Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) per annum payable in advance, which payment shall begin at t time this contract becomes effective. This contract shall begin.on the 1.A ay of March, 1946s, and continue for a period of Ten years• It is understood and agreed that the purchaser shall have the right of ingress and egress over any lands -of the owners which may be necessary to properly qua and remove said stone; and therowners reserve the right to use the caves on said above described real estate so long as it does not interfere with the operations of the pure IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have hereunto set their hands th day of March, 1946. Swofford Alderman Gregory made a motion that SWOFFORD & Co. be given the contract 1945 to make the audit of the City Funds, for the year 1945s this motion was seconded by alder- Audit man Adkisson, and was passed unanimously by3ffthe Council. Close Alley A Petition was presented requesting that an Alley between Blocks 5 and ili Gunter 6, in Gunter's Adddition, be closed and abandoned, said petition being signed by all the Addition property owners adjoining said alley, alderman Gregory made a motion that the City Clerk be instructed to have a notice published in the NORTHWEST ARKANSAS TIMES, fixing a date for a hearing on said petition, this motion was seconded by alderman Hale, and was passed unahimously by the Council* McAllister free Bld Alderman Bronson made a motion that Eddie Me Allister be issued a Building permit.
