Fayetteville City Council met in adjourned session, Monday, February 11th, 1946:

Minutes of%the regular meeting of January 21st, the adjournedmeeting of January
28th, and regular meeting of February 4th, were read and apprIved.

retest 'A Petition protesting the issuance of a Building permit to Dick Harvey, at
Harvey Southeast corner of Prairie end Government Streets,was presented by the Clerk, alderman
g permit Williams made a motion that a hearing on the petition be set for the regualar meeting o
the Council March the 4th2 1946, this motion was seconded by alderman Banks, and was pased
unanimously by the Council.

The contract with Carl Smith as Engineer for the Construction work to be doge
at the Sewer Disposal. Plant came up for discussion, alderman Bronson made a motion ttiat_the maii,er
matter be referred to the Sewer Committee, with�.power to act, this motion was seconded.lyy
aldermanBanks, and was passed unanimously by the Council.
The contract with Price Dickson as Attorney for the construction work to
done at the Sewer Disposal Plant, was submitted, which stated that he was to receive 1
of the purchase price pf the Bonds sold lo Stephensns Investment Company, alderman Hale
made a motion that the contract be approved, as submitted, this motion was seconded by
alderman Stubblefield, and on roll call by the Clerk, the following vote was recorded;
Ayes: Banks, Stubblefield, Williams, McRoy, Adkisson and Hale: Plays: Bronson. Absent an
not voting: alderman Gregory. And the Mayor declared passed, as there were 6 Ayes and 1
and at The Mayor presented the matter of acquiring some land adjacent to the pr
ent Sewer Disposal Plant, and stated that Mr Harrison owned 12 acres that he would sell

ewerand alderman McRoy made a motion that the Committee be authorized to purchase this stri
sposal ant land at not to exceed .$200.00 per acre, this motion was seconded by alderman Hale, and
passed unanimoisly by the Council.

and was passed unanimously by the Council.
The Mayor reported an inquiry for the purchase of a part of an old build
on the Old Jefferson School lots, alderman Bronson made a motion that the Mayor be auth
ized. to sell the building at any price that he could secure, this motion was seconded b
alderman Hale, and was passed unanimously by the Council.
eplatof The Mayor reported that Mr.Lee Broadhurst had submitted a proposed re-
lks 1.4 plat of Block 15 and part of Block 14, City Park, said plat would close North highland
15 City Avenue from Louise Street to Trenton Boulevard, after discussion, alderman Stubblefield
ark oposed made a motion to accept the proposed Plat if Mr Broadhurst would agree to pay 1 the cos
of paving Park Avenue from Louise Street to Trenton Boulevard, this motion was seconded
alderman Bronson, and was passed unanimously by the Council.
There being no further business, alderman McRoy moved to adjourn, seconded
alderman Hale, which was duly passed by the Council, and the Mayor declared the Council
adjourned..
