resent Mayor G.T.Sanders, City Clerk J.W.Mc.Gehee, City Attorney Price Dickson, aldermen;
ronson, Gregory, Banks, Stubblefield, Williams, McRoy and Hale. Absent: Alderman Adkisson.
The Mayor stated that the meeting had been called for the purpose of discussing thl
atter of a BOND ISSUE to finance the, improvements required for tiie SEWER DISPOSAL PLANT,
and after the discussion, it was decided to fix the date for the sale of the Bonds to be
January 28th, 1946.
There being no further business, alderman McRoy moved to adjourn, seconded by
Ilderman Bronson, which was passed unanimously, and the Mayor declared the Council adjourned.

The -question of an increase in salary for the members of the Police Depart -
Police ent and the Fire Department was discussed, and Stubblefield made a motion that all members of
he Police Department and the four drivers at the Fire Department be granted an increase of
Firemen ,5.00 per month, effective January 1st, 1946,this motion was seconded by alderman Banks,

The Mayor presented the matter of an increase in salary of the Foremen of
Asher 1he Street and of the Sanitary Departments, after discussion alderman Banks made a motie
& that the salary of Oscar Asher be placed at $120.00 per month and the salary of Ben Port
Porter Is placed at $135.00 per month, both, to take effect January 1st, 1946, this motion was
increase seconded by aldennan McRoy, and was passed unanimously by the Council.

January 28th, 1946, at 7-30 P.M., this motion was seconded by alderman Bronson, and was
passed unanimously by the Council, and the Mayor declared the Council adjourned till
