Fayetteville City Council met in regular session, Monday, June 24th, 1946.
Present:
Mayor G.T.Sanders, City Clerk J.W.MeGehee, aldermen, Bronson and Stubblefield.
It was noted that on account of the Horse Show being held, there was. no quorum
present and alderman Bronson made a motion that the Council adjourn till 8 O'Clock Wednesday
Night, June 26th, 1946, this motion was seconded by alderman Stubblefield, and was passed unan-
im8'sly by the Council; and the Majror declared the Council adjourned till 8 O'Clock Wednesday
Night ,June 26th,1946.

Alderman Stubblefield made a motion that the bills be allowed as approved,
seconded by alderman Bronson, which was regularly passed by the Council.

The Clerk presented the May reports of Roy Nix, as Sewer Service Collector
and V.James Ptak as Municipal Judge, alderman Gregory made a motion that the reports be
received and filed, seconded by alderman Williams, which was passed unanimously by the
Council.
3Alderman Bronson, chairman of the Light Committee made a motion that three
t° Street lights be installed, Viz: one at Maple & Wilson Streets, one on South Hill street
ins alt Treadwell, and one.on South Washington in "Negro Hollow", this motion was seconded by
ldermanWilliams, and was passed unanimously by the Council.
Alderman Gregory called the attention of the Council to the need of opening
p and working some streets in some sections of the residential districts, and reconmmonde

Condition of the equipment at the Airport and see if it could be made usable, this motion
was seconded by alderman Bronson, and was passed unanimously by the Councils

bids or rids for two motor powered mowing machines, surplus Propetpy at Camp Chaffee, this motion
power was seconded by alderman White, and was passed unanimously by the Council:

City Park
Alderman Gregory, chairman of the City Park Committee, outlined a plan of
some LANDSCAPE WORK at the City Park, which he said would cost approximately $100.00, and
made a motion that the Committee be authorized to proceed with the work, seconded by alder-
man Stubblefield, which was passed unanimously by the Council.

RESOLUTION
Whereas, the Maydr and City Clerk, for and in the name said behalf of the City of
Fayetteville,entered into a written lease with the Midwest Hide & Fur Company, leasing a
part of the lands heretofore purchased by the City lying immediately west of the present
