Absent: aldermen Gregory, Williams and Adkisson. Minutes of the regular meeting of'November 26th, were read and approved. AA; P,et�tlon, containing the names of several Property owners, was presented rotest Dy the Clerk, protesting the issuance of a BUILDING PERMIT to F.A-.Humphreys to build or �ldg erect a business house or structure on the Northwest corner of Lafayette and College' erm_it bvenues,after discussion, alderman Banks made a motion that a date for the hearing on of the Petition be set for December 27th, 1945; this motion was seconded by alderman Bronsot F. L.HILImphreWhich was passed unanimously by the Council. Alderman Stubblefield, Chairman of the Water Committee, presented the mat - S lary ter of some SALARY ADJUSTMENTS in the Water Department, after discussion, alderman a justmt Bronson made a motion that the matter be referred to the Water Committee and Water referred to uperintendant, with power,to act, this motion was seconded by alderman Banks, and was Com. passed unanimously by the Council. Alderman Hale made a motion that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized Cit, to to make a Quit Claim Deed to C.B.Franke for a part of Lot 9, Block 29, Original Town, fa make a Quit the purpose of correcting an error in the description of said Lot,'this motion was sec - Claim Deed onded by alderman Banks, and was passed unanimously by the Council. to C.B.Franke There being no further business, alderman Hale made a motion that the Council adjourn, seconded by alderman Bronson, which was duly passed by the Council, and the Mayor declared the Council adjourned.
