Minutes of the regular meeting of September 3rd, the Adjourned meeting of
eptember 4th, and the Called meeting of September 11th, were read and approved.
The following bills were presented after their approval by alderman Mchoy, cha

made a motion that the bills be

was regulaely passed by the Council.
The Clerk presented the report of the Police Department for the month of August,
Police alderman Hale made a motion that the report be received and filed, seconded by alderman
port for McRoy, which was passed unanimously by the Council.

Geo.McKinney appeared before the Council with reference to'a bill for $15.841
nney for Insurance at the City Park, which was addeddto the regular bills, after discussion of
Bill of an old bill for alleged earned premium on policy in effect for 48 days on Schedule policy
alderman Gregory made a motion to pay the bill out of the General Fund, this motion was
-seconded by alderman,Stubblefield, and on roll call by the Clerk, the following vote was
recorded; Ayes:Bronson, Gregory, Stubblefield, McRoy and Hale. Nays; Banks and Williams.

Alderman Gregory reported on plans for land for the City Park, and recommended
penditure of not to excedd $300.00 for preliminary work on City Park, alderman McRoy
de a motion that the recommedations be approved, seconded by alderman Bronson, which wls
ssed unanimously by the Council.
Alderman McRoy made a motion that the Council make application for funds for
e City Park and the Sewer Disposal Plant from the FEDERAL WORKS ADMINISTRATION, this mit
s seconded by alderman Bronson, and was passed unanimously by the Council.
Alderman Gregory made a motion that the Water Department donate the, sum of
X0.00 to the City Schools, this motion was seconded by alderman Hale, and was passed u
oualy by the Council.
Alderman Banks made a motion to appoint Henry George as Superintendant of th

The Report of the -City Hospital was presented by the Mayor, alderman Bronson me
motion that the report be received and filed, seconded by alderman Hale, which was pas:

Alderman Williams introduced a Resolution and moved its adoption., waving exemt
nd autfprizing procuring of Workmen's gompensation.on certain Departmental Employees, th'
otion was seconded by alderman Bronson, and was passed unanimously by the Council.
The question of VACATION for'the CHIEF OF POLICE came up for discussion, and a

The Mayor announced this was the date for hearing on Closing of an alley in
unter Addition, and there being no protests filed, the Ordinance committee was directed
o prepare the Ordince to Close the Alley.
There being no further business, alderman McRoy moved to adjourn, seconded
lderman Williams, which was duly passed by the Council, and the Mayor declared the Counc
