Fayetteville City Council met in regular session, Monday,°June 25th, 1945.
Present: Mayor G.T.Sanders,-City Clerk J.W.McGehee#•City Attorney Price Dickson, City
Bngineer, E.T.Brdwn•s Fire Chief Henry7oeogga.s Aldermen; Bronson, Gregory, Banks, Stubble-
field, Williams, McRoy, Adkisson and Hale: .
Minutes of regular meetift of June 11th and adjourned meeting of Jume 12th, were
read and approved.
Thefollowing bills were presented after their approval by alderman McRgy, chair-
man of the auditing committee:

( Alderman Gregory made a mo*ion that the bills be allowed as approved, seconded by alder-
n Stubblefield, which was regularly passed by the Council.
Official I The Clerk presented the May reports of V.James Ptak as Municipal•Judge, Roy
Nix as Sewer Service Collector, and the April and May reports of Henry George as Buildin
nReports Inspector and as Acting Fire Chief,o§lderman Bronson made a motion that the reports be
received and filed, seconded by alderman Adkisson, which was passed unanimously by the
Council*
Waneetah I Alderman Banks made a motion that the property owners of Waneetah Heights
Heights Pe granted permission to connect with the.sewer, if and when they can get the labor to
to connectdo the work, property owners to furnish every thing including the labor, and all the
with work to be done under supervision of the City Engineer• this motion was seconded by
sewer �lderman Adhissson, and was passed unanimoisly by the Council*
The Mayor reported that the UNIVERSITY CITY BUS LINES, INC. planned to
Bus Lineal BUS
SERVICE Saturday morning, June 30th,. and had made a request that space be allo
.--request to them for loading and
pasengers, alderman Banks made a:motion that the matte:
Parking be referred to the. Street Committee and the Mayor, with power to act;"this motion was
pace iecomded by alderman Hale, and was passed unanimously by the Council.
Alderman Gregory made •a motion that the membership or.the Water Committee
Water be increased from Three (3) members to Four (4) members, this motion was seconded by
HhCommttteealderman Banks, and was passed unanimoysly by the Council, the Mayor then appointedalde:

BI um & The Mayor reported that there were 2 vacancies on the.Board of Commission
We b for Street Improvement District No.4$, and that Mr.Martin Nelson, the only member of the
Commisrs Board had recommended the appointment of John Bynum and W.D.Webb to fill these vacancies

lderman Banks made a motion that these recommendations be approved, seconded by alder-
man Stubblefield, which was passed unanimously by the Council*

The 6th annual report of Street Improvement District No.47, was presented
Dist # 47 by the Clerk,alderman Bronson made a motion that the report be received and referred to
the auditing committees this motion was seconded by alderman uregory, and was passed
riport unanimously by the Council•;
Fire Zones The ,.Mayor stated that -there would be a need for the FIRE ZONES to be ex-
tended in the near future, and after discussion, appointed the following Committee:
studied Gregory, Hale and Stubblefield, together with Engineer E.T.Brown and Assistant Engineer
Henry George and the Mayor to make a study of the situation , draw up plans and make
recommedations for the extensions of the Fire Zones,
There being no further business, aldebman McRoy moved to adjourn, second,
by alderman Bronson, which was duly passed by the Council, and the Mayor declared the
Council adjourned.
