Fayetteville City. Council met in regular session, Monday, May 14th, 1945.
P esent: Mayor G.T.Sanders, City Clerk J.W.McGehee, City Attoraey Price Dickson, City Engi-
neer E.T.Brown, aldermen; Bronson, Gregory, Stilbblefield, Williams, McRoy, Adkisson and
Hale. Absent Alderman Banks.
Minutes of the regular -meeting of April 30th, were read and approved.

Alderman Adkisson made a•motion that the bills be allowed, as approved, seconded by alder,
man Williams, which was regularly passed by the Council..

IThe Clerk presented the April reports of Roy,Nix, as Sewer Service Collector,
reports
J.W.McGehee, as City Collector and as City Clerk, and alderman Stubblefield presented the
report of the Water Department,alderman Bronson made a motionthat the reports be received
and filed, secon4ed by alderman Gregory, which was passed unanimously by the Council.

Alderman Bronson reported that he had a request that the location of a Street

light on North Highland be changed, alderman Stubblefield made a motion that the request

bei•referred to the Street Lighting Committee, with power to act, this motion was seconded
and
by alderman McRoy, and was passed unanimously by the Council*
The Mayor stated that since there was not much construction work going on at the

he -thought -it advisable to make a shift of part of the salary of Henry George from the Airport

Improvement Fund to the Wafter Department Fund, alderman Gregory made a motion that the salary
of Henry George amounting to $75.00 from the Airport, be reduced to $25.00 per Month, and that
his salary from the Water Department be increased in the.amount of 50.00 per month, effective
May 1st, 1945, this motion was seconded by alderman Bronson, and received the unanimous vote
ok the Council.
The question of Liability Insurance for City Employees came up for discusslion,

alderman Stubblefield made a motion that the Insurance Committee be instructed to gather in -

formation with reference to amount of the Pay -roll of each Department, and furnish same tol

the City Attorney, who lssihstructed to determine the requirements of the State of Arkansa's

for qual4,fications as a Self -Insurer, this motion was seconded by alderman Adkisson, and was
passed unanimously by the Cou4n it . I
There being no further business, alderman McRoy moved to adjourn, seconded b
alderman Williams, which was duly passed by the Council, and the Mayor declared the Counc
adjourned;
