Fayetteville City Couhcil met in regular session, Monday `ebruary 19th, 1945.
Pesent: Mayor Pro -tem G.T.Sanders'; City Clerk J.W.McGehee, City Attorney, Price Dickson,
Clity Engineer E.T.Brown, Wire Chief Henry George, and aldermen, Bronson, Gregory, Banks,
Stubblefield, McRoy and Adkisson. Absent: Alderman Williams.
"Minutes of the regular meeting of February 5th, were read and approved,
The following bills were presented after their approval by Alderman McRoy, chairman of th
auditing committee:
V.�iremen Alderman Banks, chairman of the Fire.,''Gommittee, made a motion that the
to be paid volunteer Firemen be paid $1.00 each for each attendance at the Drills, and $0;:50 each
f+or each Fire attended, thgs motion was seconded by alderman Bronson, and received the
unanimous vote of the Council.
C oi tract Alderman Gregory, chairman of the City Park Committee, presented a con=
withtact that had been worked out with H.E.Swift to manage the City Park, after discussion,
H(E.Swift alderman Bronson made a motion that the Council accept the contract, and that the Mayor
at s11nd City Clerk be authorized to sign said contract, this motion was seconded by alderman
City Park Banks, and was passed unanimously by the Council.
Matron I Alderman Stubblefield, chairman of the REST ROOM.,COMMITTEE, reported
fo,l that'a lady had been employed to take charge of the Rest Room for $40.00 per month, lus
Rest Room concessions for Lunch room & Cold drinks, for a trial period of 3 months, alderman reg
ry.made 'a motion that the report be accepted, and that the Council assume a part of the
operating expense, not to exceed $50.00 per month, this motion was seconded by alderwan
DcRoy, which was passed unanimously by the Council.
The question of CAR -MARKER was presented by the Mayor, and after discuss
ion, it was decided to postpone till the 15th of March, and instructed the Mayor to pay
up to $75.00 per month, for some one to start marking at 11*0'Clock A.M. and continue til
5 O'Clock P.M., if any one could be secured on those terms.
To buy The Mayor presented the matter of the Street Department needing a new
truck truck, and after discussion, alderman Banks made a motion that the matter be referred to
pI the Street Committee,.with power to act , this motion was secmnded by alderman Mc oy,
or
St.Dept and was passed unanimously by the Councill.
There being no further business, alderman McRoy moved to adjourn, seconded
by alderman Bronson, which was duly passed by the Council, and tie Mayor declared the
Council adjourned.

by the Council.
