Fayetteville City Council met in regular session, Monday, April 17th, 1944.
Present: Mayor _oro -tem Geo.Sanders•, City Clerk J.W.McGehee, City Attorney Price Dickson,
Chief of Police Dan Allen,aldermen, Bronson,Gregory, 8osford,MeRoy, Stubblefield and WT
liams. Absent:alderman Banks.
Minutes of the regular meeting of April 3rd were read and approved.
The fol.lwing bills were presented, after their approval by alderman Hosford,

Alderman Stubblefield made a motion that the bills be allowed, as aper(hved
seconded by alderman Hosford, which was regularly passed by the Council

The Clerk presented the March reports of V.James Ptak, as Municipal Jud
arch Henry George as Building Inspector and Fire Chief, and J.W.McGehee as City Clerk and as

ine die by aldermanBronson, which was passed unanimously by the Council, and the Mayor declared
the Council adjourned SINE DIE.
The Mayor then called the new Council to order and instructed the Cle
to call the roll, which was done, and the following aldermen answered present: Bronson,
Gregory, Adkisson, McRoy, Stubblefield and Williams.
The Mayor reported that all the newly elected officers, as follows:
V.James Ptak, Municipal Judge, Price Dickson City Attorney, J.Nr.MccieheP City ®lerk,
Allen Banks alderman 1st Ward, Jerome McRoy alderman 2nd Ward, Webb".H'.Wiliiiams alderman
3rd Ward, and V.W.Adkisson aldermn 4th Ward, had all signed the OATH of Offing which
had been subscribed and sworn to before Roy A.Scott, County Clerbc of Washington County
At this time the Mayor announced his anpointment of the STANDING
