The Clerk then read the ordinance the second time, and after discussion, the rdinance was left on its second reading. Alderman Gregory made a motion that the sum of $25,000.00 be transferred from he Airport Improvement Funds in the McIlroy Bank, to the Aitport Improvement Fund in the }25,000 irst National Bank, this motion was seconded by alderman Banks, which was passed unani- transferre r CTAusoly by the Council. • Me :y "i Alderman Stubblefield introduced an Ordinance, entitled AN ORDINANCE ORDINANCE Ito. 8-7-7. AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING THE MAYOR AS CITY HEALTH OFFICER OF THE CITY OF FAYETTF ILLE, ARKANSAS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. VJHEF,EAS, by reason of the National emergency, the City of Fayetteville;is y+ithout the services of a City Health Officer; and NITEREAS, numerous ordinances of the City of Fayetteville provide for the ervices of the City Health Officer and require certain actions upon his part befIre they an be adequately enforced; and it is deemed to be unwise to change all of said ordinance ince the City of Fayetteville hopes to have the services of a regular City Health Office gain when the emergency has passed and such officer can be obtained; NOVJ,THERFTRE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fayette- ille, Arkansas: SECTION 1. That the Mayor of the City of Fayetteville be amd he is hereby esignated as the City Health Officer of the City of Fayetteville with all powers hereto• ¢ore or hereafter granted to such officer* SECTION 11. This ordinance shall not -repeal any ordinance or part ther xcept that the Mayor shall -assume all powers and duties heretofore exercised or which lay hereafter be delegated or authorized to be performed by the City Health Yfficer. SECTION 111. It appearing that many ordinances of the City of Fa,yettevil] re not now being properly enforced because said City does not now have a health officer, nd t''^at the peace, health and safety of the residents is menaced; an emergency is hereb; eclared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after ite assage, approval and publication. There being no further business, alderman McRoy moved to adjourn, secon - Pd by alderman Bronson, which was duly passed by the Council, and the Mayor declared the ouncil adjourned.
