HomeMy WebLinkAbout1944-01-24 Minutesoli Fayetteville City Council met in regular session, Monday, January 24th, 1944. resent: Mayor Geo.Vaughan, City Clerk J.W.Mc®ehee, Cilty Attorney Price Dickson, City ngineer E.T.Brown, Police Chief Dan Allen and.aldermen, Bronson,.Banks, Gregory, Hosfori, cRoy, Stubblefield and. Williams-. Absent: Alderman Sanders. The December reports of V.Hames Ptak, as Municipal Judge, J.W.McGehee, a. December City Collector and as City Clerk, henry George as Building Inspector for December, also reports for the year 1943 alderman. Bronson made a motion that the reports be received and filed secomded by alderma Gregory, which was passed unanimously by the Council* R F41) !3v r#11 Alderman McRoy,chairman of the Police committee, reported that the Commi shad decided that it would be too expensive to send Dan Allen to attend the session of thi B.I.School. Engineer E.T.Brown reported that the Street Department had a chance to To buy purchase 3 screens for the Street vepartment, at a bargain,alderman Banks made a motion 3 Screen that the matter be referred to the Street Committe and Mr.Brown, with power to act, this t.Dept motion was.seconded by alderman Bronson, which was passed unanimously by the Council. Alderman Bronson made a motion that the Council go into executdve session, seconded by alderman Mcroy, which was passed unanimousy, and the Mayor declared the Couni in executive session, after discuAston of varios administrative matters, alderman Banks oved to go out of executive session, seconded by alderman McRoy, which was passed unani y Assmts and the Mayor declared the Council in regular session,. Alderman Bronson made a motion that the 1943 assessment for paving intersect v bists in District No.54, amounting to$140.00, and the 1944 assessment for paving intersectio '47 lin District No.47, amounting to 60.51, be paid, seconded by alderman Stubblefield, whi was passed unanimously by the Council* • There being no further business, alderman McRoy moved lderman Willams, which was duly passed by the Council, and the Ma o djourned.
