Alderman Banks made a motion -that the salary of Oscar Asher, foreman of Sanitary Department be raised from $22,50 to $25,00 per week, effective 7anuaryx 1% onded by alderman Hosford, which was passed unanimously by the Council• A telegram was read by the Clerk from the Federal Bureau of InvestigatA ddressed to Dan Allen, Chief of Police, announcing the 25th session of the FBI National olice Academy beginning April.17th and endinjEJuly 22nd, asking if he could attend the ession , after discussion, alderman Banks made a mo$ion that the matter be referred to he Police Committee, for investigation, and report back at the next Council meeting, econded by aldePman Hosford, which was passed unanimously by the Council* Alderman McRoy moved to bo into executive session seconded by alderman Bronson hich was passed unanimously by the Council, and the Mayor declared.the Council in execs tine session, adter discussion of various administrative matters, alderman McRoy moved D go out of executive session, seconded .by.alderman Hosford, which was passed unanimous ,y by the Council, and the Mayor declared the Council in regular sessions Alderman Banks made a motion that Acting Chief of the Fire Department.* enry George, be paid a salary of $25.00, effective January 1st, 1944, and continue unti is salary as Engineer at the Airport be discontinued or adjusted this motion was second d by alderman Hosford, and was passed unanimously by the Council. f Alderman Banks made a motion that $1,000.00 be transferred from the treet Fund to the Sanitary Fund, to help pay the.expenses of the Sanitary Department. his motion was seconded by alderman McRoy,.and.was passed unanimously by the Council* Alderman McRoy made a motion that a warrant for $120.00 be drawn in avor of the ARKANSAS MUNICIPAL LEAGUE, to pay the dues. for the year 1944, this motion as seconded by alderman Stubblefield, and was passed unanimously.by the Council* There being no further business, alderman McR6y moved econded by alderman Bronson,whieh was duly passed by the Council, and d tho Council adjourned, Attest Q0 Approved U city Clem to adjourn, the Mayor declar-
