Fayetteville City Council met in regular session, Monday, June 28th, 1943.

Carnival The question of granting Fred R.Stumbo'a Carnival license for the week of
1'cense July 5th, to 10th, inclusive, came up for discussion, and alderman Banks made a motion
d)nied that on account of SANITARY CONDITIONS,and the fact that it is a PUBLIC NUISANCE, that
request for a license be denied, this motion was seconded by alderman Gregory, and on r
call by the Clerk, was passed unanimously by the Council;

adoption, seconded by alderman Stubhlefield, which was passed unanimously by the Counc,

BE IT RESOLVED that all citizens in these ,"centers be invited to use -the Fayet
ville Airport .facilities any time their need arises..

Alderman Gregory introduced the following REOOLUTIOB, and moved its adop
tion, seconded by alderman Sanders, which was passed unanimously by the Council

for WHEREAS A.C.George served faithfully for a period of thirty-five years as
PUMP STATION ENGINEER for the City Mater Plant, and

WHEREAS in his passing, those who were associated with him feel a distinct
loss, and <
WHEREAS, -MR GEORGE devoted the best years of hid lifetime to the upbuildin
of the public water system and to diligent and efficient service to the people of
Fayetteville, and
PIHEREAS.the City Council, speaking fgr,itself and the people of Fayettevi
is deeply appreciative and responsive to the type of chabacter and service record shown
by Mr.George, t "
NOW0 THEREFORE BE IT RES)OLVED that the City Council of the City of Fay-
etteville"does hereby extend heartfelt sympathy and condolence to the family of
A.C.George, and that this memorial be spread of record in the minutes of the City
Council, and"a copy sent to the family.
