Absent; Aldermen Banks and Williams. Minutes of the regular meeting of May 17th, were read and approved. The report of Henry George as Chief of the Vire Department was presented f month of April, by the Clerk, alderman McRoy made a motion that the report be received and filed, seconded by alderman Stubblefield, which was passed unanimously by the C%oune Alderman Hosford made a report of a meeting of the Water Committee, held M 24th,at which time changes in salaries of several of the employees of the water (Jompany were voted by the Committee, and asked the approval of the action of the Committee, by Council, accordingly alderman Hosford made a motion, seconded by alderman Bronson, that effective June lst tLe salary of Rex George be $120.00 per month ;ind7Ct24ait?C�X&C#cXbg g&(iMXS3f�3i43Cin1dXffiffiY#�mxarmx_�am�xrx��5��xxwhich was passed unanimously by the Council. ugh Alderman Hosford made a motionthat the salary of James Bronaugh be $90.00 ger month, effective June lst,seconded by alderman St'&bblefield, which was passed unani mously by the Council. Alderman ftosford made a motion that Mrs Andy George be paid the salary of Andy George, deceased, at $90.00 per month through the month of June, 1943.This motion was seconded by alderman Sanders, which was passed unanimously by the Concil. Alderman Hosford made a motion that effective June 1st, the salary of W.H Morris be $120.00, seconded by alderman McRoy, which was passed unanimously by the Coun Alderman Hesford made a motion that effective $June 1st, the salary of Roy CeLE be $110.00, seconded by alderman Stubblefield, which was passed unanimously by the Council. Alderman Hosford made a motion that effective June 1st, the salary of W;808tewart be $90.00, per month, seconded by alderman Sanders, which was passed unanimo by the Council. Alderman Gregory introduced the following Resolution, and moved its adop seconded by alderman Hosford, and on roll call by the Clerk, the folloTaing vote was ree Ayes; Bronson, Gregory, Hosford, McRoy, Sanders and Stmbblefield. Nays:None. Absebt and not voting: Banks and Williams. And the Mayor declared adopted, as there were 6 Ayes, a no Nays. R E S O L U T I O N BE IT RESOLVED by the City,Council of the City of Favetteville, Arkansas, that the City of Fayetteville elects to operate under the terms of the VIorImens Compen. sation Act of the State of Arkansas, in'so far as its employment of individuals under the Hundred"+Thousand Dollar ($100,000.00) Municipal Airport Expansion and Improvement Project is concerned, only. Passed and approved this 31st day of May, 1943.
