Fayetteville City Council met in regular sessiomg Monday, May 17th, 1943.
Present'
Mayor Geo.Vaughan, City Clerk J.W.McGehee, City Attorney Price Dickson, City
Engineer E.T.Brown,Police Chief Dan Allen, Aldermen, Bronson,, Banks, Gregory,Hosford,
McRoy, Stubblefield and Williams. Absent: alderman Sanders.
Minutes of the regular meeting of May 3rd, were read and approved.
The-follwing bills were presented,after their appproval by alderman Hosford, chairman
Alderman McRoy made a motion that the bills be allowed,' as approved, seconded by alder
man Bronson, which was regularly passed by the Council.
The April reports of Roy Nix, as Sewer Service Collector, J.W.MeGehee as Col-
pril lector and as City Clerk, were presented by the Clerk, alderman McRoy made a motion tha

Alderman Hosford, presented a report of the meeting of the Water Committee,

Alderman Stubblefield made a motion -that the salary of W.W.Burton, Superin-
W.Burton tendant of the Sewer Disposal Plant, be raised from $50.00 per month to $75&00 per month,

Alderman Hosford made a motion that a warrant be drawn ,on thw Airport Fund
to The General Fund, for ?1000.00, to re-imburse the General Fund for Money advanced to
the Airport Fund when the hangarnAtthe Airport was destroyed by fire in 1941" this moti
was seconded by alderman Stubblefield, and was passed unanimously by the Council.

Alderman Bronson made a motion that a Committee be appointed to draft

Resolution of sympathy in the death of A.J.George, seconded by alderman Gregory, which
was passed unanimously by the Council. The Mayor appointed the follwing Committee:

There being no further business, alderman McRoy moved to adjourn, seconde
by alderman Gregory, which was duly passed by the Council, and the Mayor declared the
Council adjourned.
