The following bills were presented, after their approval by alderman Hosford, chairman o, he auditing committee= • Herschel Holloway $17..70 Steve Salusbury $17.70 Frank Brooks, Jr. $3.15 tim Gibson 20.55 Clayton Gabbard 9.60 W.W.Ammans 14.19 Dwite Nickels 17.70 John Shafer 3.00 Democrat Lithograph - Lige Gabbard 17.70 Frank Brooks 17.89 ing & Printing Co, 10.81 Alderman Bronson made a motion that the bills be,allowed, as approved, seconded • by alderman Stubblefield, which.was regularly passed by the Council; A Purchase -Contract from the Fayetteville Public School District, to cover balance due on the OLD JEFFERSON SCHOOL SITE, was read by the Clerk, alderman Sanders • made a motion that the matter be referred to the Finance Committee and the•City Attorna for approval, this motion was seconded by alderman Bronson, and was passed unanimously the Council• I I_ Council The question of the Council meeting every,two weekq,instead of ,every week to meet was discussed, and it was decided to try it out.for 2 or 3 months . every 21 1 , weeks,* There being no further business, alderman McRoy, moved to adjourn till April 5th,this motion was seconded by alderman Gregory, and was passed unaniously by the Council, and the Mayor declared the Council adjourned trill Api•il 5th, 1943. IMarch The report of the Police Department was presented by Police Chief Dan Allen, and the eports reports of Henry George as Acting Chief of the Fire Department and as Building Inspector were, presentedobyfthe':Clerk for the month of March, alderman Gregory made a motion that the reports be received and filed, seconded by alderman Hosford, which was passed unan- imousl by the Council* Alderman Gregory, member of the Finance Committee, presented a check from onation the Arkansas• Western Gas Company for $150.00, as a donation to the City to help defray (from the operating expenses, alderman McRoy made a motion that the check be accepted and Ark.W.Gas placed to the credit of the unitary Fund, this motion was seconded by alderman Banks, Co. and was passed unanimously by the Council. A disagreement over ae;Sewer Line, that had developed between Mrs.Zora Sewer line Cummings and Mrs.Lila Harrison, was reported th the Council, and after discussion, dispute alderman Gregory made a motion that the matter be referred to the City Engineer and the Chief of Police, with power to act, this motion was seconded by alderman Hosford, and was passed unanimltisly by the Council. Purchase With reference to the Purchase Contract of the Old Jefferson School Site i�ontract from Fayetteville School District No. 1, alderman Gregory made a motion that the City IOld Attorney be instructed to draw up a Purchase contract, and that the Mayor and City Clerk J.School be authorized to sign^the-•contracttfor"'the City�of':Fayetteyille, this motion was seconde Site by alderman Hosford, and was passed unanimously by the Council; �q4 There bemng no further business, alderman McRoy moved to adjourn, secon e by alderman Bronson, which was duly passed by the Council, and the Mayor declared the Council adjourned till April 19th, 1943, Attest j7 Approved City Gleric Mayor
