There being no further business, alderman Hosford moved to adjourn, seconded by alderman ffcRoy, which was duly passed by the Council, and the Mayor declared the Council adjourned':' . The Mayor then designated the !#t� Street committee, consisting.of aldermen anders, Shook and Stubblefield, as the Special committee; Jo I ri Bynum The Mayor reported with reference to a CAR 4%RKER to take the place of Eldo Car -Marker Colep that he had 2 applicants, viz: John Bynum and Joe Baker, after discussion, it was decided that the Mayor be authorized to offer the place to John Bynum, at a salary of ''60.00 per month': S it, City Attorney reported that he had filed suit against the Gulf Refining filed to ompany to cancel a, lease on the City Airport, alderman Gregory made a motion that a c cel •iarrant be allowed tp pay the Cost of filing the suit_, seconded by alderman Hosford, GuRsf.Co ihich was passed unanimously by the Council',. ease Police Chief Dan Allen stated that he had been unable to hire.any one to R.F.Jackson take the place of Patrolman, Lyle Allen, Who had been called to the Service, and that if to The there was no objection he, would put R.F.Jackson (Who has been working for some time as Dusk EXTRA DESK PATROLMAN) on as DESK PATROLMAN, on a monthly basis, in accordance with salary Patrolman regulatuons as set up for PATROLMEN, Viz: beginning at $$80.00 per month.
