The Mayor then designated the -Street committee, consisting of aldermen anders, Shook and Stubblefield, as the Special comniittee'; John Bynum The Mayor reported with reference to a CAR 41ARKER to take the place of Eldo CarrMarker Coles that he had 2 applicants, viz: John Bynum and Joe Balser, after discussion, it was decided that the Mayor be authorized to offer the place to John Bynum, at a salary of 60.00 per month',' S it. City Attorney reported that he had filed suit against the Gulf Refining fiIlea to Company to cancel a, lease on the City Airport, alderman Gregory made a motion that a c Ilea ltarr•ant be allowed to pay the Cost of filing the suit_, seconded by alderman Hosford, Gu fR,ef.Co ihich was passed unanimously by the Council',. lease Police Chief Dan Allen stated that he had been unable to hire any one to R.F. Jackson take the place of Patrolman, Lyle Allen, .Jho had been called to the Service, and that if to be there was no objection he,would put R.F.Jackson (Who has been working for some time as Dusk EXTRA DESK PATROLMAN) on as DESK PATROLMEN, on a monthly basis, in accordance with salary Patrolman regulations as set up for PATROI11EN, Viz: beginning at $80.00 per month.
