The following reports for the monthof April were read by the Clerk: Henry George,
April as BuildinlInspector, J.W.MeGehee,as City Collector and as City Clerk, and Police Chiefs
Reports presented the report of the Police Department, alderman McRoy made a motion that the �P
reports be received and filed, seconded by alderman Banks,which was passed unanimously
by the Council'J
o buy Alderman Gregory made a motion that the Building Inspector be author -
mater ized to purchase an ammeter and a voltmeter,this motimn was seconded by alderman Hosford
and was passed unanimously by the Council';

Z,T.Boykin, County Sanitarian was present and made a report of the progress
e was -.making in cleaning alleys near the business section, and in a private premise,

Alderman Bronson made a motion that the Council go into executive session,
econded by alderman Banks, which was passed unanimously by the Council, and the Mayor
eclared the Council in executive session, after discussion of various administrative
attars, alderman "regory moved to go out of executive session,seconded by alderman
osford, which was passed unanimously, and the Mayor declared the Council in regular
ession.
There being no further business, alderman McRoy moved to adjourn, seconded by
lderman Hosford, which was duly passed by the Council, and tl;e Mayor declared the Coun-
il adjourned.

The report of Chas Sanders, as Acting Chief of the Fire Department was read by
Clerk, and by order of the Mayor was received and filed.
The o stion of Widening Mission Street from IaXfayette to Maple Street came up
for discussion, and alderman Bronson made a motion that the matter of securing R IGHT-
Of Way and arranging for PAVING and the CURB & Gutter on Mission Street from Lafayette
to Maple Street be referred to the Street Committee and City Engineer, with p to act*
hie motion was seconded by alderman Gregory, and was passed unanimously by the,Council
Police Chief, Dan Allen presented the needof a Crystal controlled RADIO
RECEIVING SET, and after disedssion,alderman Sanders made a motion that the matter be
referred to the Police Committee and Police Chief, with power to act, this motion was
seconded by alderman Gregory, which was passed unanimously by The Council,
The Mayor stated that Mr.Boykin, the County Sanitarian had submitted a
up plan to get the tin cans and other rubbish cleaned up in the Rose Hill section, if there
was no objection from the Council, after discussion, it was decided to leave the matter
to the disceetion of Mr.Boykin to work out.
