Vaughan, City Clerk J.W.Mcgehee, City Attorney Price Dickson, City 3ngineer E.T.Brown, Building Inspector -Henry G#orgeq Police Chief Dan Allen,and aldermen ironson,Banks, Gregory, Hosford, McRoy and Shook. Absent: aldermen Sanders and Stubblefi Minutes,of the regular meeting of April 13th, were read and approved. 'he following bills were presented, after their approval by alderman Hosford, cbairWan )f the auditing committee: A•.G.Hartley, Sec. $67.30 Clarence Rice $15.15 Frank Brooks $19.50 E.A.Martin Mach.Co. 69.43 H.F.Pointer 15.15 Howard.Shumate 14.40 Fay.Tire Exchange 50.66 Herschel Hollway 14.40 A.F.Shumate 22.50 Alderman Bronson made a motion that the bills be allowed, as approved, seconded by .lderman Hosford, which was regularly passed by the Council, The PETITION of the FULBR IGHT INVESTMENT Co, which had been presented to the Cour at the regglar meeting March, 30, asking permission to close North are gg Street, from Center Street to Meadow Street, came up for discussion,and alderman Banks made a motion the request'be denied, seconded by alderman Bronson, which received the unanimous vote c the Council; A committetfrom the VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS presented a request for the ref f the 'PRIVILEGE LICENSE on a CARNIVAL to be held in May, Sponsored by -the VFW, explainil 11. funds received from the CARNIVAL were to be turned over to the NATIONAL VFW, for the urchase of TRAINER PIANES for the Government, after discussion, alderman Banks made a otion that action on the request be deferred till next gegular meeting, seconded by ald< an McRoy, which was passed unanimously by the Council* it t that Alderman Bronson moved to go into executive session, seconded by alderman McRoy, hich was passed unanimously by the Council, amd the Mayor declared the Council in Executive essi'on, after discussion of various administrative matters,alderman Hosford moved to go out f Executive session, seconded by alderman McRoy, which was passed unanimously, and the Mayor eclared the Council in regular session.
