Vaughan, City Clerk J.W.Mcgehee, City Attorney Price Dickson, City engineer E.T.Brown, Building Inspector.Henry Gorge, Police Chief Dan Allen,and aldermen; Sronson,Banks, Gregory, Hosford, McRoy and Shook. Absent: aldermen Sanders and Stubblefie Minutes.of the regular meeting of Alw it 13th, were read and approved. 'he following bills were presented, after their approval by alderman Hosf ord, chairman if the auditing committee: A.G.Hartley, Sec. $67.30 Clarence Rice $15.15 Frank Brooks $19.50 t.A.Martin Mach.Co. 69.43 H.F.Pointer 15.15 Howard.Shumate 14.40 Fay.Tire Exchange ' 50.66 Herschel Hollway 14.40 A.F.Shumate 22.50 Alderman Bronson made a motion that the bills be allowed, as approved, seconded by lderman Hosford, which was regularly passed by the Council, The PETITION of the FULBR IGHT IITVESTMENT Co, which had been presented to the Court at the re§wlar meeting March, 30, asking permission to close North Gre gg Street, from Center Street to Meadow Street, came up for discussionsand alderman Banks made a motion the request•be denied, seconded by alderman Bronson, which received the unanimous vote o the Council A committetfrom the VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS presented a request for the ref f the PRIVILEGE LICENSE on a CARNIVAL to be held in May, Sponsored by -the VFW, explainin 17. funds received from the CARNIVAL were to be turned over to the NATIONAL VFW, for the urchase of TRAINER PLANES for the Government, after discussion, alderman Banks made a otion that action on the request be deferred till next gegular meeting, seconded by alde an McRoy, which was passed unanimously by the Councils Alderman Bronson moved to go into executive session, seconded by alderman McRoy, ich was passed unanimously by the Council, amd the Mayor declared the Council in Execut ssion, after discussion of various administrative matters,alderman Hosford moved to go Executive session, seconded by alderman McRoy, which was passed unanimously, and the M clared the Council in regular session* A report of the CIVIL SERVICE COM]AISSION, with some recommendations, was read the Clerk, alderman Bronson made a motion that the report be received and filed, secon alderman McRoy, which was passed unanimously by the Council.
