Present : Mayor Geo.Vaughan, City Clerk J.W.M¢Gehee, City Attormdy Price Dickson, City �gimeer E.T.Brown, Police Chief Dan Allen, Building Inspector Henry George, and alder; Bronson, Banks, Gregory, Hosford, McRoy, Sanders, Shook and Stubblefield. Minutes of the regular meeting of April 6th, were read and approved* Alderman Shook presented the 1942 budget,(which had been adopted at the regular 1942 Lmeeting of the Council M"ch 30,1942, and vetoed by the Mayor at the regular meeting of Budget the Council April 6th, and referred back to the Finance Committee) and made a motion that a oved (the Budget be approved, as adopted, March 30th, 1942, this motion was seconded by alder- asadopted man Sanders, and was passed unanimously by the Council'* 3-36,42 Karl Bell presented a_request for some help from the Street Department in grading the BALL D7gMpND��r derman Gregory made a motion that the matter be referred alderman Sanders Lih5A. ntb the Street Comimittee# seconded by alderman Bronson, which was passed unaniKously.by the Council* A certificate of the election held April 7th,1942, was presented by the Clerl a copy of which is as follows: COYY_L1E��OERTIFICATE.OF ELECTION COMMISSIONERS The follwing is the result or the election e n aye teville, Tuesday, Apri1,7, 1942. 1 ' Ward 1 Ward 2 Ward 3 Ward 4 Total City Attorney Price Dickson 17 6 16 8 47 City Clerk. Attest Approved y er . ayor The Mayor then called the Council to order, M.Cunningham acting as Clerk, noted the, presence of the following aldermen: Bronson, Gregory, Sanders and Stubblefield, the Maya then administered the OATH of OffieW,Ps;o the newly elected officers; as follows: Price Dickson City Attorney, J.W.McGehee City Clerk, Allen Banks Alderman -1st Ward, Earl Shook aldePman- 2nd Ward, Jerome McRoy- alderman -3rd Ward and H.M.Hosford alderman -4th Ward, The Clerk then called the roll and the following aldermen, answered present: Bronson, Banks, Gregory, Hosford, McRoy, Sanders, Shook and Stubblefield. Mr.Z.T.Boykin, the newly appointed County Sanitarian, was present, and dis- cussed some of the problems of Sanitation and disease control with the Council* There being no further business, alderman Bronson mAved to adjourn, seconded by alderman McRoy, which was dul$ passed by the Council, and�iyie Mayor declared the Coun c it adjourned, ((�� n n ME, J 0 77 M�K Approved The following bills were presented, after their approval by alderman Hosford, chair- man of the auditing commdttee: Northwest Ark.
