The Ordinance was read in its entirety- by the Clerk, and,aldennan Bronson made
lotion that the rules be suspended, and the ordinance placed on its second reading,
his motion v.'as seconded by alderman Stubblefield, and was passed unanimously by the
ouncil.
The Clerk then read the Ordinance the second t(bme, and alderman Sanders made
motion that the rules be further suspended, and the Ordinance placed on its third and
'anal reading, this motion was seconded bM alderman Banks, and received the unanimous
ote of the Council.

AN ORDINANCE ESTA3LISHITTG A THIRTY ieI1�UTE PARKING ZONE ON THE ITORTH SIDE OF THE
UDLIC SQUAP.E, PROVIDING PEI?ALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
:iHEREAS , a temporary 30 -minute parking zone has been established on the North'
side of the public square for a sixty-day trial period.and*after,said period it has bee:
letermined that such limited parking has proven very satisfactory and said zone should
e made permanant;
11OV10 THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of rayetteville,

S_ECTION ONE: That the parking spaces along the South curb of Center Street
long tte Worth side of the Post Office grounds is hereby restricted to parking of
vehicles for a period no longer than thirty minutes continuously.
SECTION TWO: Any person, firm or corporation violating the provisions of Sec-
tion One of this Orddnance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall. be punished
by a fine of not less than $1.00, nor raore than. ti)25.00.
SECTION THREE: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed and it appearing that the above described restricted area is necessa
ray for the public health,peace and safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and
this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval
and publication.

Planning I;ayor Geo.Vaugban announced the aprointment of tale following as members of the City
Board Planning Board: Forthe 2 ,year tear-; Ralph Leviis, Pa UI Young i,Irs.R.A.Leflar.
For the 4 .year term: Lars. L.B.Ham, Jack Hyland and -alter B.Cole, alderman Hosford made
a motion that the Council apurove -these appointments, seconded by alderman Banks, which

Gregory Alderman Bronson made a motion that Aldermall_ Jim Gregory be added to the canning
