The reports of Chas Sanders, as Acting Fire Chief, and J.W.Mc�iehee, as City Co1l iiov. nd as City Clerk, and ban Allen as Chief of Police for the month of Uovember were presen ed, Deports nd alderman Hosford made a motion that the reports be received and filed, seconded by al- erman Sanders, which Baas passed unanimously by the Council. )equest Mr E.C.Aumick was present and requested that a place be marked off on the South f ide of East Rock Street for "No Parking"so that trucks might have room to enter the all E C.Aumick etti>>een East and College Avenues. alderman Bronson made a motion that the matter be referred o the Street Committee, with power to act, seconded by aldermanhosford, which was passed unanimously by the Comncil. Alderman Sanders made a moyion that the Ordinance Committee be in structed to raw up an Ordinance regulating Palmistry reading or Fortune telling, this motion was seconded y alderman Shook, and received the unanimous vote of the Council. Nov Notice of the appointment of Ray Ellis and F.F.Wilson as Special Policemen, with Ray Ellis powers limited to the confines of the Fayetteville idunicipal Airport, was read by the C2mrk, F.F.Wilson Copy of notice Special 'P lice December 8th, 1941s, i 1,I21.Ray Ellis and F.F.Wilson Airport, City; Gentlemen Acting in conjunction with the special orders of the Civil Aeronautics Au hor- ity and under the present existing emergency brought about by the war with Japan,I am hereby aa,)ointing each of you SPECIAL MEMBERS of the Fayetteville Police Department, with power ' limited to the confines of the Fayetteville Municipa34p services to be without remunerayion•:' You are instructed to ground all aircraft now on th ffiel , except those directly used in Civillian Pilot Training Courses. Un ilfurther instruction ,you are instructed to investigate and hold ifnecessar-y any aircraft landing on the Airport of this City, which are not engaged in regular scheduled airline transportation, or are publicly owned. Particularly, private planes landing shomld be held grounded until authority for their right to procegd•is proven. It is your especial duty to investigate and report any suspicious acts occurring at the airport and to arrest and hold any suspicious persons, aho, you have good reason to believe might be engaged in any type of subversive ctivi'-•es.
