Police Chief, Dan Allen presented the report of the Police Department for the month of

October, and alderman Hosftrd made a motion that the report be received and filed, Seco

by alderman Gregory, which was passed unanimously by the Council.

There being no further business, alderman Shook moved to adjourn, seconded by
alderman McRoy, which was duly passed by the Council, and Lhe Mayor de red the Council

Fayetteville City Council met in regular session, Monday, November 10th, 1941.

Sanders, Shook, Stmbblefield. Absent Alderman Gregory.
Minutes of the regular meeting of November 3rd, were read and approved.

Alderman McRoy made a motion that the bills be allowed, as approved, seconded by alder-
man Bronson, which was megularly passed by the Council.
Oct. Reports
The Clerk read the October reports of Henry George as Building Inspector,
J.W.McGehee as Collector and as City Clerk.and alderman Sanders made a motion that the
reports be received and filed, secanded by alderman Hosford, wdich was passed unanimously
by the Council.
Wages
The RESIGNATION of Edmond Wages from the service of the Fire Department of the City,
esigned
to become effective November 14th, 1941, at 6 O'clock, P.M., was read by the Clerk.

discussion, and alderman Hosford made a motion that the time be extended from November

Jan 1st
Mr. H.L.Utley appeared before the Council with a request that the North-East and
west side of the square be roped off for the Armistice Day parade, the next day , November
llth,alderman Sanders made a motion that the request be granted, secobded by alderman
Banks, which was passed.unanimously by the Council.

Alderman Hosford, chairman of the Police Committee, reported that the Committee

had decided with reference to an allowance for use of the car of Dan Allen, Chief of Police.

Business,
Alderman Banks, chairman of the Fire Committee, reported that he had the promise
of a man to go to work friday as a regular man on the force of the Fire Department.
There being no further business, alderman McRoy moved to adjourn, seconded by
alderman Bronson, which was duly passed by the Council,•and the Mayor declared the CounFil
adjourned. A
