Vaughan, City Clerk J.W.McGehee, City Attorney Price Dickson, ity Engineer E.T.Brown, aldermen; Banks, Gregory, Hosford, McRoy, Sanders, Shook and tubhlefield. Absent: alderman Bronson. inutes of the regular meeting of September 8th, were read and approved. Mr.C.D.Atkinson appeared before the Council with a PETITION to close the Alley tween Blocks 19 and 20 of Gunter Addition, after discussion, alderman Sanders made a tion to postpone action till next meeting of the Council, since ther were some more alleys the same part of town,(on which similar requests had been made, and suggested that these qests be investigated,and all passed on at the same time. This motion was seconded by A1- rman Banks, and was passed unanimously by the Council A.letter was read by the Clerk from A.E.Collier, chairman of the East Street Im rovement Districts encosing a check f(Dr $161.54, balance of money on hand in that Distr ith a request that the money be used in that clistrict,in which it was created, alderman anders made a motion that the check be received and placed in the Street fund, this mot as seconded by alderman Shook and was passed unanimously by the Council. It was called to the attention of the ,Council that a vacancy in the Board of ommissioners of West Dickson Street Improvement District,had occurred, on accouht of th eath of Mr.J.H.Mcllroy, and alderman McRoy made a motion that Hayden Mc nRoy be appoint o�nmissioner in this District, seconded by alderman Shook, which was passed unanimously he Council. . The following monthly reports of City officials was read by the Clerk: Soy Nix, as Sewer service collector for the month of July, V.James Ptak, as Municipal J For the City ,and for the Cogmty, for the month of July, Geo,Vaughan, Jr, as ex -officio )hief of Police for the month of July, J.W.McGehee as Clerk and as Collector for the mo July and August, alderman Sanders made a motion that the reports be received and filed, seconded by alderman Hosford, which was passed pnanimously by the Council. There being no further business, alderman McRoy moved to ddjourn, seconded by lderman Hosford, which was duly passed by the Council, and the Mayor declared the Counc djourned.
