The following bills were presented, after their approval by alderman Hosford, inutes of the regular meeting of September 8th2 were read and approved. The following monthly reports of City officials was read by the Clerk: leports Roy Nix, as Sewer service collector for the month of July, V.James Ptak, as Municipal Ju ge for the City ,and for the Cogmty, for the month of July, Geo,Vauehan, Jr, as ex -officio I Chief of Police for the month of July, J.W.McGehee as Clerk and as Collector for the months filed.- July and August, alderman Sanders made a motion that the reports be received and filed, seconded by alderman Hosford, which was passed pnanimously by the Council. To install The request of L.L.Browne, Supt. of Buildings & Grounds,',at the U.Of A. for signs permission to in -stall 6 signs on the streets,(1 at School & Mountain, 1 at School & Dickson, to 2 at College & Dickson and 2 at College & Maple) to direct traffic too the University, direct Alderman Hosfond made a motion that the request be referred to the 'Street Committee, with raffic empower to act, this motmon was seconded by alderman Bronson, and was passed unanimously ly the to ouncil U.Of A.
