The lack of a Qourem was noted, and alderman McRoy moved to adjourn till Tuesday Night

an Allen Alderman Sanders made a motion that the City Clerk be instructed to advise
hief Dan Allen "That he has been certified by Civil Service Commission as No.l man for offic
olice of Chief of Police, please advise acceptance or rejection of this office within 5 days;
if accepted, must report by September 10th, 1941". This motion was seconded by alderman
Stubblefield, and received the unanimous vote of the Council.
There being no further business, alderman McRoy moved to adjourn, seconded
alderman Hosford, which was duly passed by the Council, and the May declaee the Co
