Fayetteville City Council Met in regular session Monday, April 28th, 1941.
Present: Mayor Geo. Vaughan, City Clerk J. .Mcgehees City Attorney Price Dickson,
City Engineer, E:T.::arown, and aldermen , ronson, Banks.. H osford, McRoy, Sanders,
and Stubblefield. Absent: alderman Gregory.
Minutes of the regular meeting of April 21st, were read and approved.
The following bills were presented, after thei approval by alderman Hosford; member of
the auditing committee: Taylor Hannah $$8.40,.A,C.Hudson $2.50, Elmer Boyd $14:40,
Hal Elderton $$14.40, Jim Gibson $14.49, Hugh Pool $$14.40, Clarence Rice $$14.40,
A.F.Shumate $22.50, and Otho Shumate $$14.40.
Alderman Bronson made A motion that the bills,be allowed, as approved, sedonded b3
alderman Bamks, which was regularly passed by the Council.
The following reports for the month of March, were read by the Clerk: Roy Nix,
as Sewer Service Collector, Henry George, as Building Inspector, A.D.McAllister as
March Fx-Officio Chief of the Police Department, V.James Ptak as Mmnicipal Judge, J.W.McGehee
reports as City Clerk and City Collector, alderman Bronson made a motion that the reports be
filed received, and filed, seconded by alderman Shook, which was passed unanimously by the
Council.
Alderman.'.Bronson introduced an Ordinance, entitled " AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE SEPEF
OFFICE OFt CHIEF OF POLICE OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

The Clerk then read the Ordinance the second time, and adter discussion, the Ordir

Alderman Sanders made a motion that the City Attoney be instructed to draw up a
Ordinance with reference to Trucks loaded with LIVE STOCK, parking in certain resident!
Listricts, this motion was seconded by alderman Hosford, and was passed unanimously by
the Council.
Mayor Vaughan announced the appointment of the STANDING COMMITTEES for the
ensuing year:

There being no further business, alderman McRoy moved to adjourn, seconded by
alderman Hosford, which was duly passed by the Council* and the Mayor declared the
Council adjourned. 4 A
