(Present • Mayor A.D.McAllister, City Clerk J.W.McGehee, City Attorney Price Dickson, City Engineer E.T.Brown, and aldermen s Bronson ,Banks, Gregor'y,'Hosford, Mcroy, Peal, Sanders and Shook..Minutes of the regular meeting of February loth, were read and approved. L.L.Baxter and Bernal Seamster represenj:ing'the Chamber of hommerce, appeared before (the Council to discuss the progress that had been made on Airport Project, Roy Scott, r'epresenting the Lion's Club, also appeared before the Council to pledge the support of the Lion's Club in the Airport development. Four Copies of ti -)e detailed audit of the City for the year*1940s made by opies R.C.Frambers and Co. were presented and discussed, and alderman Sanders made a motion that of amount of $125.00 be paid to R.C.Frambers & Co. for the detailed audit f'or the year 19401 940 ;this motion was seconded by alderman McRoy, and received the vote of the Ci •' dit IJ e unanimous ouncI�.• p The question of an increase in salary for Ben Porter, foreman of the Street Depart - en orterment came up for discussion, and alderman Sanders,'chairman of the Street Committees) made ncrease a motion that the salary of Ben Porter be placed at $$100.00 per Month, and that this motion in be effective from February 1st, 1941. this motion was seconded by alderman Banks-, and re salary 6eived the unanimous vote of the Council I Alderman Sanders made a motion that the expense account of Mayor A.D.McAllister ;and dldermari^Mcttoy to Little Rock, amounting to $$22.10, be allowed,sdconded by alderman Peal, which was passed unanimously by the Council. aamm Alderman Gregory presented the proposition of Semst of the Curbs around the Square, Make being too high, and after discussion,alderman Gregory made a motion that the proposition of steps in making steps for all the too -high curbs in the business district be turned over to the l urb Street Committee, with power to act, the work to be done under the supervision of the round City Engineer, this motion was seconded by alderman Hosford, and was passed unanimously quare by the Council. I There beimg no further business, alderman McRoy moved toadjourn, secondedlby alderman Hosford, which was dulty passed by the Council, and the Mayor declared the Council adjourned. The following reports for the month of January were read by the Clerk: anuary- Roy Nix as Sel^ier Service Collector, V.James Ptak, as Municipal Judge for the Cityaand for sports the County' and J.W.McGehee as City Collector and as City Clerk, alderman Sanders made a motion that the reports be received and filed, seconded by alderman Hosford, which received the unanimous vote of the 9ouncil I There being no further business, alderman Hosford Hosford moved to asjourn, seconded by alderman McRoy, which was duly pasced by the Council, and the Mayor decla Council adjourned. the
