Any person desiring to fit or repair gas pipes Ar piping, fixtures and/ or appliances shall be required,to make application to the Board of Examiners for Gds Fitters, and after satisfying said Board as to qualifications and integrity, and securing their certificate as to such qualifications and integrity, shall present said certificate to the City Clerk, who shall issue a Ltas Fritters and gas repairman license upon payment of an annual license fee in the sum of $3.00, which shall expire on the 31st day of Lecember in each year. SECTION-=. Any person fitting or atteippt,ing to fit gas pipes or piping, fix- tures or"appliances. or repairing or attempting to repair the same without the license prescribed in this Ordinance,shall be guilty of a mosdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not exceeding 100.00, and eacg act of fitting or repairing shall constitute a seperate offence. SECTION 17. Any employer who shall permit any of his employees to fit or re- pair gas pipes or appliances without such employee first having secured the license herein provided shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and punishable by a fine in any sum not to exceed $100.00s and each violation of this Section shall constitute a seperate offence, SECTION a All'ordinances relating to the qualification and licensing of Plumbers shall be equally applicable to Gas Pitters and repairmen, except such as are in direct conflict with this Ordinance. SECTION Vi The Board herein created shall be appointed by the Mayor and such appointment confirmed by the Councils and their terms of office shall be at the will and pleasure of the Council. , SECTION =9 All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed and'"IT appearing that the enactment of this Ordinance is necessary for the peace, health and safety of the residents of the City of Fayetteville, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication.
