Absent; McRoye Minutes of the regular meeting of Novemer 12 th., were read and appeoved. WHEREAS, under said practice each Congressional District is entitled to one Com- missioner, and, R.D Bo rt WHEREAS, Washington County gave the Honorable Homer M.Adkins a larger majority recommended than any other County in the Third Congressional Listrict, and ads WHEREAS, the Honorable Robert D.Bogart is now under consideration as one of the Highway Commissioner proposed members of 5aid'State Highway Commission, and WHEREAS, Honorable Robert D.Bogart possesses many qualifications, of outstanding - merits among which are the fact that he is a Civil Engineer by profession, has the time to devote to his duties, and is an ardent supporter of better roads and highways, and . has no private interest to serve; NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City e6uncil of the City of Fayetteville.. Arkansas, that the Honorable Robert D.Bogart be commended most highly to the Honorable Homer M.Adkins,Governor Elect of the State of Arkansas, as an excellent choice for Mate Highway Commissioner from the Third Congressional District of Arkansas, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Honor Homer M.Adkins, Governor -Elect of the State of Arkansas. cti Passed and approved this 25th day of November, 1940.
