Fayetteville City Council met in regular session,t"onday October 2121940.
The absence of the Mayor was noted and alderman Brobson made amotion that alderma
MUS Sanders be elected Mayor-Protem, seconded by alderman ftosford, and was passed un
usly by the Council.
The Clerk then called the roll , and noted the following present:

Dr. H.C.0twell appeared before the bouncil for information on how to proceed, to
lave Conner Street"Black Topped", but in the discussion, it developed that he had been m
.nformed regarding the price, as he said the information,he had, was, that it would cost

small mixture of Ohat, he said he would have to confer with the property owners on this

}'•PA• Alderman Sanders, chairman of the Street Committge, reported that since Vest Mpple
for Inter- Street had been paved that the Intersections at Mock and Lincoln Avenues would have to'ibe
sections re-ldid, and recommended that it be done with a W.P.A.Projectp alderman Bronson made a m6t16nn
that these Intersections be laid with a W.P.A Project, under the supervision of the City
Engineer, this motion was seconded by alderman Peal and was passed unanimously by the council•
Mayor McAllister reported on his trip to Little Rock, to attend a meeting of
Executive Committee of the Arkansas 2unicipal League, and stated they had a conference
Govenor Elect, Homer Adkins, and that the Committee felt like they had a good chance to
some"of the "Turn Back" money for next year,and alderman Bronson made a motion that the
expense of the Mayor to Little Rock, amounting to $7.00, be paid, this motion was sdco
alderman Gregory, and was passed unanimously by the Council,
There being no further business, alderman McRoy moved to adjourllLseconded b
alderman Shook, which was duly passed by the Council, and the Mayor declared the Counc
adjourned.
