Fayetteville City Council met in regular session, Monday, September 16th, 1940
Present: Mayor A.D.McAllister, City Clerk J.W.MeGehee, City Attorney Price Dickson,
Jity Engineer E.T.Brown, aldermenBronson, Banks, Gregory, McRoy, Peal, Sanders and Shook.
Absent: alderman Hosford.
'Minutes of the regular meeting of Sept. 9th, were read and approved.

Alderman Shook made a motion that a warrant be drawn for the Firemen's Dues to the
ount of $1.00, for each volunteer Fireman, this motion was seconded by alderman Banks, and
ceived the unanimous vote of tge Council.
The Mayor presented the matter of the Masonic Lodge wanting to erect an Electric
Sign in front of the City Administration Building,and alderman Sanders made a motion that
the matter be referred to the Building committee, with power to act, this motion was seconded by o.

that our heartfelt sympathy be extended to Dr.Hosford and the members of his family.

The Clerk read the following Reports for the month -of August: A.D.MeAllister, as ex -officio
Chiefo of the Fire Department and as ex -officio Chief of Police, -Roy Nix as Sewer Sdrvice
Collector, V.James Ptak, as Municipal Judge for the City and for the County, Clyde Walters
as Building Inspector, J.W.McGehee as Collector and as City Clerk;Alderman Bronson made a
motion that the reports be received and filed, seconded by alderman Shook, which was passed
unanumously by the Council. Being no further business, alderman ldcRoy moved to adjour,lseconded
