Fayetteville City Council met in regular session, Tuesday, Sept. 3rd, 1940.
Present: Mayor A.D.McAllister, City.Clerk AW.*MeGe.hIW We City Attorney Price Dickson,
City Engineer E.T.Brown, and aldermen: Bronson, Banks, Hosford, McRoy, Peal, Sanders
and Shook. Absent: alderman Gregory.
Minutes of the regular meeting of August 26th, were read and approved .
The following bills were presented, after their approval by alderman Peal, chairman of

Alderman Bronson made a motion that the Bills be allowed, as approved, seconded by
pLlderman Banks, which was regularly passed by the Council, ,
MrsIL.L. Mrs.L.L.Shirmer appeared before the Council, again , with reference to a building
Shirmer permit, and since it appeared that she had complied with the Ordinance, by having
B.Permit notice of application published in the Northwest Arkansas Times two times,and the time
granted. having expired for protests to be filed, and the City Clerk reported that no protests
had been filed, alderman Sanders made a motdon,that the Building Inspector be instruct
ed to issue a building permit to Mrs. L.L.Shirmer to build a Garage Apartment building
on Lot 6, Block 2, Leverett?Ds 3rd addition Ten (10) feet from the propertfr Pine'�dn'Vv0d'rav
Street, this motion was seconded by aldefman Peal, and received the unanimouo vote
of the Council.
July The following reports for the month of July were read by the Clerk:
Reports Clyde Walters# as Building Inspector, A.D.McAllister, as Ex -officio Chief of the Fire
Department, and as Ex -officio Chief of Police, V,James Ptak,as Municipal Judge for the
City and for the County. Roy Nix, as Sewer Service Collector, and J.W.McGehee, as City
Collector and as City Clerk; Alderman Hosford made a motion that the reports be reeet
ed, and filed, seconded by alderman Peal, which was passed unanimously by the Council.
Alderman Sanders made a motion that a warrant for $06.60 be drawn to accompany the
order for 6 pictures of the Air-port,•thia motion was seconded by alderman Banks, and
was passed unanimously by the Council.
There being no further business, alderman McRoy moved to adjourn, seconded by
�• alderman Hosford, which was duly passed by the Council, and the Mayor declared the
Council adjourned. D

Alderman Sanders made a motion that the bills be allowed as approved, seconded by
alderman Bronson, which was regularly passed by the Council.
