r Fayetteville City Council met in regular session, Monday, June 3rd. 1940.
Present:Mayor;A;D.McAllister,City Clerk J.W.MCGehee,'City Attorney Price Dickson,
City Engineer E.B.Brown, and Aldermen: Bronson?Banks, Hosford, McRoy, Peal, Sanders and
Shook.'Absent: alderman Gregory.
Minutes of the regular meeting of May 27th, were read and approved.
The following bills visna presented, after their approval by alderman Peal, chaiman of
the auditing committee:

Alderman Bronson made a motion that the bills be allowed,; as approved, seconded by
alderman MoRoy, which was regularly passed by the Council.
Protest The Clerk read a Petition, protesting the issuance of a building permit for the
Building erection of a 2 -story apartment house and a 4pear garage on Lot 1e in lock 2, Mt Nord
permit Additionj, after discussion, alderman Sanders made•a motion that a hearing on the Petition
Maple & Mock be set for next regular meeting, Monday June 10th,and that 4the'^Cler.k^berl'ifnstyucted,.Iton
notify all parties, whose names were on the Petitiot; of the action of the Council, this
motion was seconded by alderman Bronson, and received the unanimous,vote of the Council..
Coco cels The request of `t'ge Kiwanas Club tosplace a Coco cola machine in the Adminis-
i tration building was presented, and alderman Sanders made a motion that they be allowed
machineto be to place the machine in the building on 30 days trial, with the understanding that if
placed lin it was not satisfactory, that the machine would be removed at the end of thirty days,
Adm. Bldg. this motion was seconded by alderman Shook, and received the unanimous vote of the
(Council._
Mayor McAllister made a report of his trip to Little Rock, and stated that
Mr Sharp had assured him #hat the Airport Project would be started in a very short time,
he also stated that his expenses amounted to $4.50, and asked that this amount be approve
alderman Sanders made a motion that a warrant for $4.50 be drawn, seconded by alderman
Ironson,which was passed unanimously'by the Council,
there being no further business, alderman Sanders moved to adjourn, seconded
by alderman Hosford, which was duly passed by the council, and the Mayor declared the CC:J;
Council adjourned.

The Fayetteville City Council met in a postponed regular session, Tuesday June 11th,
1940, notice of which had been given and consented to by all the members of the Council,
NOTICE OF POSTPOMEMENT OF REGULAR MIMTING,
To the members of the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas:
Notice is hereby given that on account of the Commencement Exercises at the
University of Arkansas, the regular meeting of City Council Monday Night June 10th,
Evill be postponed till Tuesday Night, June 11th, at 8-Oclock.

We, the undersigned members of the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,
hereby accept acknowledgment of the foregoing notice, and consent and agree that said
Council shall meet at the time and place therein named;,and for the purpose therein
stated;
