McAllister, this motion was seconded by alderman Sanders, and was passed unanimously by the Council. Absent; alderman Shook, Minutes:of the regular meeting of January 29th, were read and approved. The following bills were presented after their approval by alderman Peal, chairman of the auditing committee: Ben Porter J20.00,Elmer Boyd $8.40, Geo. D.A.Burson, representing the Property owners of Gree -n Acres appeared before the Green Acres Council and asked for information as to how that section could secure outlets on their request a Vater Main that would serve as Fire Hydrants after discussion, alderman Sanders made Water Main a motion that the matter be referred to the vvater Committee and Water Superintendant with power to act, this motion was seconded by alderman Peal, and was passed unanimously by the Council. ' Alderman Gregory introduced an Ordinance, entitled "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING AND ABOPTING CERTAIN REAL ESTATE AS AN ANNEX TO AND PART OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, IARKANSAS,AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. The Ordinance was read in its entirety by the Clerk, alderman Sanders made a motion thatthe rules be suspended and the Ordinance placed on its second reading, secon ed by alderman Peal, and on roll call by the Clerk received the unanimous vote of the Council The Clerk read the Ordinance the second time, and after discussion, alderman Brohson made a motion that the rules be further suspended, and the Ordinance placed on its third and final reading, this motion was seconded by alderman Sand rs, and on roll call by the Clerk received the following vote' Ayes; Bronson, Cabter, ttregory, Hosford, Peal, Sanders and Shook. Nays Uckere and the Mayor declared carried, as there were 7 Ayes andl Nay. And no days; , 0 R D.I N g N C E N 0. 8-4-3. AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING AND ADOPTING CERTAIN REAL ESTATE AS AN ANNEX TO AND PART OF THE CITYCOF FAYETTEVILLE* ARKANSAS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, a majority of the property owners of real estate hereinafter described petitioned the County Court of Washington County.,Arkansas, .to be annexed to and become a part of the bity of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and WWRhB,the County Court aforesaid entered an order approving said petition and ordering said annexation, and , WHEREAS., more than thirty days has expired since said order of annexation -and protest or -appeal has been made or taken, and , WHEREAS, a transcript of said proceedings of the County Court, together with a accurate Plat of said proposed addition has been filed with the City Clerk praying that the City of Fayetteville accept said Territory as part and parcel of the City of Fayett villes Arkansas, , NOW,THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas: SECTION 1. Alderman Hosford made a mo$ion that the Mayor and City Attorney be instructed -to get out a letter of information to all the residents of "Batges Addition" informing them of when all City Taxes are due, the change in assessments to City instead of rural property and other changes., this motion was.seconded by alderman Gregory and received the unanimous vote of the Councils s There being no further business, alderman Ucker moved to adjourn, sepponded by alder= manBronson, which was duly passed by the Council, and the Mayor declared the Counvil adjourned.
