Alderman Ucker made a motion to approve the bill of The DEMOCRAT PRINTING AND
LITHOGRAPHING CO. of $18.42 for printing Briefs in the case of McAllister Vs.
McAllister, this motion was seconded by alderman Sanders, and was passed unanimously
by the Council.
There being no further business, alderman Bronson moved to adjourn, seconds
alderman Ucker, which was dul$r passed by the Council, and the Mayor declared the Counc

Fa yetteville City Council met in regular session, Monday, February 5th,1940.
Present: Mayor, A.D.McAllister, City Clerk. J.W.McGehee, City Engineer, E.T.Brown,
Aldermen; Bronson, Carter, Gregory, Hoaford, Peal, Sanders, and Ucker. Absent; alderman
Shook,
Minutes:.of the regular meeting of January 29th, were read and approved.
The following bills were presented after their approval by alderman Peal, chairman of
the auditing committee: Ben Porter J20.00,Elmer Boyd $8.40, Geo. Bond $6.00, Guy Roberts
$6.00, Bill Morris $1.00, A.F.Shumate $20.00 and Otho Shumate $1.2.00. alderman Carter
made a motion that the bills be allowed, as approved, seconded by alderman Bronson, whit
was regularly passed by the Council
The question of approving the W.P.A.Project for the Airport came up for discus
ion, but it was decided to postpone action for another week;
The Mayor made a report of the meeting of the Arkansas Municipal League in
Little Rock that day, which was attended by City Attorney 'rice Dickson and the Mayor.
There being .. further business, alderman Hosford moved to adjourns seconded
declaredby alderman Bronsons which was duly passed by the Counollp and the Mayot the

Alderman Bronson made a motion that the bills be allowed, as approved, seconded by
alderman Carter, which was regularly passed by the Council.
D.A.Burson, representing the Property owners of Green Acres appeared before the
Green Acres Council and asked for information as to how that section could secure outlets on their
request a Vater Main that would serve as Fire Hydrants after discussion, alderman Sanders made
Water Main a motion that the matter be referred to the Oater Committee and Water Superintendant
with power to act, this motion was seeonded by alderman Peal, and was passed unanimously
by the Council.
Boy Scouts 11 The Aldermen elect of the Boy Scout group together with their Troop leader
present Mr Frank Lewis were present to watch the proceedings of the City Council*
The W.P.A.Project at the Airport camel or discussion again but no action was
taken.
Alderman Gregory introduced an Ordinance, entitled "HAV ORDINANCE ACCEPTING
AND ABOPTING CERTAIN REAL ESTATE AS AN ANNEX TO AND PART OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
JARKANSAS,AND FCR OTHER PURPOSES.
The Ordinance was read in its entirety by the Clerk, alderman Sanders made a
motion thatthe rules be suspended and the Ordinance placed on its second -reading, second
ed by alderman Peal, and on roll call by the Clerk received the unanimous vote of the
Council
The Clerk read the Ordinance the second time, and after discussion, alderman
Brohson made a motion that the rules be further suspended, and the Ordinance placed on
its third and final reading, this motion was seconded by alderman Sand rs, and on roll
call by the Clerk received the following vote' Ayes; Bronson, Canter, tfregory, Hoaford,
Peal, Sanders and Shook. Nays Uckere and the Mayor declared carried, as there were
