• Fayet!eville City Council met in regular session, Konday, December 18th, 1939.
Present: I.:ayor, A.D.McAllister, City Clerk, J.'".I.IcGehee, City Attorney, Price Dickson,
City Engineer, E.T.Brown, aldermen; Beonsmn, Carter, Gregory., Hosford, Pealj Sanders,

bills be allowed, as approved, seconded by alderman Shook, which was regularly passed
by the Council. f

V.James Ptak, as Polie Judge, A.D.McAllister, as Ex-offioo Chief of -Police and as Ex -of icio
Chief of the Fire Department, Clyde Walters as Building Inspector, Roy Nix as Sewer Se vice
Collector,and J.W,I.IcGehee as City Cleric and as City C61lector, alderman Sanders made amo-
tion that the reports be received and filed, seconded by alderman Peal, which was duly passed
by the Council.
A TwIr Kessman of Little Rock came before the Council and requested a Permit to
'establish a Junk Yard at the location_ known as the McCoy Coal yard on Prairie Avenue, b t
after discussion it was decided that the Council would not be in favor of granting the
Permit until they were assured thatthere would be no objection from property owners, ne.r-by
who might be affected:
Alderman Carter made a motion that the Street Committee be authoNized to. make
9a contract for Lime Stone to be used by the Rock Crusher, contract to be drawn by the City
Attorney, and that the'Mayor and the City Clerk be authorized to sign said contract,'th$s
motion was seconded by alderman Shook and received the unanimous vote of the ouncil.

The Clerk,read a card of appreciation from the Theo Burns' Family for the
flowers sent, in their recent bereavement.
Alderman Gregory introduced the following Resolution, and alderman Bronson
its adoption, seconded by alderman dregory, and on roll call by the Clerk, received the
following vote: Ayes; Bronson, Carter, Gregory, Hosford, Peal, Sanders, Shook and Ucker
Nays: None. And the Mayor declared the Resolution adopted, as there were 8 Ayes., and ni

ompany, a corporation, and the statute requires that the municipality give the utility

severance damages, if any, either by agreement with ,your Company or under the terms and
londitions of purchase and sale as may be determined by the Department of Public Utilitiq
Kindly acknowledge receipt of this notice,and advise us what date will suit
