AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING THE LICENSE FOR OPEPATION OF BOWLING ALLEYS IN
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE AID FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City of Fayetteville:
SECTION 1. The annual license or tax for the privilege df operating bowling-
leys within the City of Faye�tEevilles Arkansas, shall be Fiftee Dollars (?15.00) per
ley per year, which tax shal due and payable on January 1st2 1940, and on the first
January each succeeding year thereafter.
SECTION 2. The penalties now prescribed by the Ordinances of - the City of
yetteville for failure to pay said license shall apply to the failure to pay license
bowling alleys.
SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
reby repealed.
PASSED and AP)ROVED this 13th day of November, 1939.

Alderman Shook reported that he had leased the "Old Airport" to S.H*Millerfor the

This -contract made and entered into in duplicate on this the 20th, day of Novembeii, 1939
by and between the City df Fayetteville and S.H.T.liller, WITME7=4 :
For and in consideration of the payment of Fifty Dollars ($50.00), receipt of
which is hereby acknowledged, the City of Fayetteville hereby leases to S.H,Miller its
located on U.S.Highway No.71 South of Fayetteville, commonly designated as the old airp
and that S.H.Miller shall have the right to use said property for, pasturage purposes un -
December 31st, 1940, It is understood and agreed that no part of said land shall be plat
unddr cultivation without the ,consent in writing of the City of Fayetteville land that
City of Fayetteville shall have the richt to make such improvements on said lands as it
shall see fit:
It is further wider.stood and. -agreed that the said S.H.?hiller shall keep
fence around said property in a Good state of repair and prohibit tresspassing on said
property as far as possibl(l, and that he will not permit traffic across said property o�
through the same without the consent in writing of the City of Fayetteville, and t'�at t)
said Miller shall have thh right to place gates in such places as may be necessary to ti
