1 I'I `VV WHEREAS, The Board of Improvement of Streetrg Improvement District 140.54 of the
City of Fayetteville,Arkansas, has filed its report, together with an estimate of the
cost of the improvement contemplated in said local Improvement District, and it appear-
ing therefrom that the estimated cost of said improvememt, exclusive of interest on
borrowed money, is the sum of Fourteen Thousand Six Hundred Sixty Dollars ($14,660.00),
being less than forty per cent,of the assessed value of the real property in the Dis-
trict, as shown by the last County assessment;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Fayettevil
Arkamsas, that said report be and the same is hereby approved; and that the making of
the assessment for said improvement be undertaken; and that JAS.R,.GREER, O.L.DAILY,
and J.W.WEBB, each of whom is an elector of the City -of Fayetteville, Arkansas,be and
they are hereby appointed as assessors for said Districts to assess the benefits to
be received by each lot or.block on other subdivision ofdlands, railroads and railroad'
right -of -qday in said District by reason of the said proposed local improvement therein.

MOTION FOR LEAVE TO INTERVENE.
Comes the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, a municipal corporation regularly
organized, established and existing under the laws of the State of Arkansas, and moves
the Authority that it be permitted to intervene in this application and become a
party therto.
For its said motion, the said 6ity of Fayet teville, states that it has a
statutory right to be made a ,party to this proceeding; that it has a propertsr and
financial interest which may not be adequejVly represented by existing parties; and,
That it will be bound by the order entered in this proceeding.
Said City of Fayetteville is directly in in the approval of the
application of the Kansas City Southern Transportation Company and the establishment
of an air route as proposed in said application. Approval of said application will
make it possible for this community to have the benefit of air route transportation
and the application is the only one now pending before the Authority, which proposes
to adequately serve the territory.
The City of Fayetteville desires to int:eryene in thhis application t add its
support toward obtaining the grant of said applica ion and to in ervene, ask�ng its
amendment to require the inclusion of said City as a spop on said air route between XX
Kansas City, A,tissouri and Ilew Orleans, Louisiana.
WHEREFORE, the said City of Fayetteville respectfully moves that it be allowe
to intervene in said proceeding; and for all other relief to which it may be enyitled.

Vandeventer Avenue and Maple Street, that that part of the improvement will be deleted.

A letter from the Chamber of Commerce was read by the Clerk, giving their unanimous
approval of the efforts of the City Council to improve and amplify the facilities M$X
owned by the City. Alderman Bronson made a motion that the letter be reeeived and filed,
seconded by alderman Peal�O ic�hl y unanimously by the Uouncil.

sidewalks be laid in the manner now prescribed by lave and the ordinances of the City of
Fayetteville and the regulations of the Works Progress Administration, in front of the

Alderman Bronson moved that Council go into executive session, seconded by
alderman Shook, which was duly pasned by the Council, and the Mayor declared the Council
in executive sessdon, after discussion of varctous administrative matters, alderman Peall
made a mention that Council go out of executive session, seconded by alderamnShook, which
was regularly passed by the Council, and the Mayor declared the Council in regular sess0n.
There being no fudther business, alderman Shook moved to adjourn,secondedy alder
man Sanders, which was duly passed by the Council, and the Mayor declared the Council a0journed:
