INITNESSETH:
For and in consideration of the City of Fayetteville granting to T.J.Raney & Son's
the option to purchase 4% Electric Bonds at par and accrued interest, said bonds to be
issued in the event the City of Fayetteville purchases the electric distribution system
now privately owned; T J'Raney & Sons hereby undertakeito work out a plan whereby the City
of Fayetteville can issue bonds in a sum suf=ficient to purchase said electric distribution
system.9whichiplan shall meet with the approval of the City Council of the City of Fayetteville.
It is further understood that should it become necessary to test the validity of
said bonds or the proceedure in connection with the issuance of said bonds, the City of
Fayetteville'vVill pay one-half (z) of the costs of saidreourt proceedure but in no event
shall the payment by the City of Fayetteville exceed $T� 50.00 and no court proceedure shall
be instituted or pursued'except by and with the consent and approval of the City Council
of the City of Fayettevill%s and T.J.Raney & Sons.
In the event it shall be determined that the proceedure is feXasible and the
City of Fayetteville shall choose to issue said bonds, the City of Fayetteville will pay
the cost of printing, trusteeing and the approving opinion for said bond issue.

Alderman Bronson made a motion that the Council adjourn sine die. Alderman Sanders seconded
the motion, which received the unanimous vote of all members of the Council,present,
(which was 6 in number) and the Mayor declalreNX so declared.
The City Clerk called the Council together and administered the Oath of office
New Coun-to &Iayor A.D.McAllister. Mayor McAllister then administered the Oath of Office�'City Clerk,
1 called J.l"J.McGehee, and Aldermen$yBronson, 13t Ward; J.C.Peal, 2nd Ward; J.K.Gregory,'�3rd,l"lard,�
gether and Geo.T.Sanders, 4th Ward. Roy Nis, City Treasurer and V.James Ptak, Police Judge.
Alderman Gregory moved that the CounBil go into executive session, seconded by
alderman Peal, which was duly passed by the Council, and the Mayor declared.the Council in
executive session. After discussion of various administrative matters, alderman Bronson
moved that the Council go,out of executdve session, sedonded by alderman Hosford, which was
duly passed by the Council, and the Mayor declared the Council in regular sessions
No fu$'ther business appearing, alderman Hosford moved to adjourn, seconded
by alderman Sanders, which was duly passed by the Council, and the Mayor declared the Council
adjourned.

Present: Mayor,A.D.McAllister, City Clerk, J.W.McGehee, City Attorney,Price Dickson,
City Engineer, E.T?Brown, aldermen; Bronson, Carter, Gregory, Hosf_ord, Peal, Sanders,
and Shook. Absent: alderman Ucker.
Minutes of the regular meeting of April 10th, were read and approved.
The following bills were presented, after their approval by alderman Peal, chairman of

Office Space in the City Administration Building after July 1st, Alderman Carter made
