Fayetteville City Council met in regular session, monday,•April 3rd, 1939.
resent: Mayor, A.D.IvtcAllister, City Clerk, J.w.McGehee, City Attorney Price Dickson,
ity Engineer, E.T.Brown and aldermen: Brobson. Carter, Hosford, Peal, Sanders, Shook
nd Ucker. Absent: alderman Gregory.
Minutesof the regular meeting of March 27th, were read and approved.
Phe following bills were presentdd, after their approval by alderman Peal, chairman of
the auditing committee; Jackson Cafe $6.60, -Rogers Electric Sueply Co. $9.16,
3.W.Ga6 & Electric Co. $340.55, 18.95. and $9.57, Dr.Richard Tiller $4.00,

Milton Hamblen 57.80, Alderman Shook made a motion that the bills'be allowed, as approve
seconded by alderman Bronson. which was duly passed by the Council.
( Included in the above was warrent no 24,122 to the Panther Oil &. Grease Co. for a hX
barre�'A l of roof coating for the Fire department Bldg., which had been sent with the
order.).
Alderman Sanders made a motion that a warrant be drawn for $96 70 to O.E.
Williams, Sec. of The Board of Election Commissioners, for the expense oit holding the
General Election April 4th, seconded by alderman Bronson, which received the affirmative
vote of all seven members of the Council, present.
Alderman Ucker made a motion that some lumber be purchased to build a Dog
Pound, J.Shelley agreeing to do the work free of charge. seconded by alderman Peal
which was regtalarly passed by the Council.

Mayo rlselected Alderman Sanders made a motion that the Mayor be selected as Purchasing Agent
as purchasing' for the next year, seconded by alderman Shook, which was passed unanimously by all membe
agent of the Council who were present.
Alderman Shook, chairman of the Finance Committee made a motion that the

This motion was seconded by alderman Peal, member of the Finance ComTMxittee,
and on roll call by the Clerk, received the following vote: Bronson, darter, Hosford,
Peal, Sanders, Shook and Ucker. Absent and not voting alderman Gregory* and the Mayor
declared the amendment adopted, as there were 7 Ayes and no Nays.
There being no further business, Alderman Bronson moved to adjourn, seconded
by alderman Sanders, which was duly passed by the Council., and the Mayor declared the
Council adjourned.

motion that the bills be allowed; as approved, seconded by alderman Sanders, which
was regularly passed by the Council.
Alderman Sanders made a motion that the Mayor and the City Clerk be authorized to
sign an agreement betwti^ien T.J.Raney and sons,and the City of V'ayettevilld, Arkansas.
This motion was seconded by alderman Gregory, and on roll call by the Clerk, received
the following vote: Ayes; Bronson, Cabter, Gregory, Hosford, Peal and Sanders. Absent
and not voting : Shook and Ucker. And the Mayor declared the motion carried, as there
6 Ayes and no Nays.
