Absent; Carter and Gregory. Minutes og') the regular meeting of February 20th were read and approved. The following bills were presented, after their approval by alderman Peal, chairman o] the auditing committee; J.Shelley $6.75, Skinner & Kennedy Stationery Co. $9.15, Jackson C fe $4.25, Ben Porter $17.50, Elmer Boyd $10.00, A.F.Shumate $20.00, 'Willie Wilcox $lEOO . Alderman Shook made a motion that the bills be allowed, as approved, seconded by alderman Peal,,which was duly passed by the Council. KhXHXaXHKhXMXX The Clerk read a request from H.C.Hansen, County Supervdsor of the FARM SECURITY ADMINISTRATION for permission to erect a sign at the entaance to hie office, which would have to be lower than the building ordinance requires, Alderman S6nders made a motion that a committee of two be appointed to act with the Mayor, ane that the Com mittee have power to act, alderman Peal seconded the motion, which was re passed by the Council, and the Mayor appointed the following Committee, Aldermen; Sanders and Ucker. The Mayor presented the -request of Mrs. Waterman to buy the Horse`'Trough belonging to the City, after discussion it was decided to tell her that it was not fo sale at the present time. The Mayor presented the proposition of laying a sewer line. to the new Leve School, Alderman Sanders made amotion that the matter be referred to the Sevier Commit with power to act, seconded by alderman Hosford which received the unanimous vdte of members of the Council, who were present. Alderman Peal, chairman of the auditing committee reported that he had exan the,report of the Commissioners of Paving District No 43, and made a motion that the z approved and filed, and that Dr. Melton's resignation as a member of'the Commissioner: this district, be accepted, alderman Shook seconded the motion, which was passed in tY way. There being no further business, alderman Hosford moved to adjourn till Wednesday, March Ist at Seven- thirty P.M., seconded by alderman Bronson, which was duly passed by the Council, and the Mayor declared the Council adjourned.�,�'1"y.
