The Mayor presented the request of Everette Campbell's Grocery for a refund Campbell of 1938 meat license, which brought up the discussion of collecting the meat licenses Grocery fr 1939, KKdXg£tdrXdXXXXXXXMK and it was -decided to postpone action till next Monday request NightJ0 refund 1938 Price Dickson made a repoat of his trip to Little Rock, where he had attended license the session of the Legislature in the interest of some bills in which the City was in- terested, alderman Peal made amotion that a warrant for his expenses be allowed, amount ing to $ 39.47, seconded by alderman Carter, which was unanimously passed by the Counci There being no further business, alderman Bronson moved to adjourn, seconded by alderman Shook, which was duly passed by the Council, and the Mayor declared the Council adjourned. A communication was read from H.U.Campbell, Secretary of the-'lestern Methodist ssembly asking the City to cooperate with the Superintendant of the Assembly in building and maintainng drives up to and around the grounds, alderman Sanders stated that the Street committee was alre*ady working with Mr.Yancy on this proposition, amd it was decided that no action on the communication was neccessary at this time,. ison The Mayor presented the request of Mrs.B.N.Wilson to gravel the Curb next to her residence, but after discussion, it was decided to report to her that the Cuuncil v working on a proposition to widen the Street at that point. The report of Paving District # 43 was presented, as was also the resignatio of Dr.C.G.Melton as Commissioner of ts district,for the reason that he had sold his proprty in that district. The Committee appointed to investigate assessments in Street Improvement 9M District No. 47 made its report and recommendations which was filed and approved. 'thereupon alderman Shook introduced a Resolution and mdved its adoption, which motion was seconded by alderman Ucker. Upon the roll call there were six votes in the affirmal alderman Sanders not voting.
