From Fayetteville Housing Authority Committee, relat$ve to proposed project for low -rent housing, for those of the colored population of the City,requiring the same, And to make it possible to develop a park area in theso called "Tin Cup" section, After discussion of the communication from Frambers & Co., it was decided that the Mayor should write them and ask for more definite information as to plan and price of proposed audits Alderman Grgory made a motion that the communications be received and filed, alderman Peal,secondedA the motion, which was passed unanimously by vote of the Council, The Mayor presented the proposition of the University of Ark.having a -large storage tank for sale, also one by the Fayetteville Ice Co., Alderman Gregory made a motion that the propositions be referred to the Street Committee•for investigation, withpower to act AldermabR Hosford seconded the motion, which received the unanimous vote of the Council. There being no further business, alderman Bronson moved to adjourn, alderman Peal seconded the motion, which was duly passed by the Council,and the Mayor declared the Council adjourned, ATTEST (�� APPROVED.aA_%* —�-E3�tiF---- Fayetteville City Council met in regular session Monday, August 29th I938. Absent: Aldermen Gregory and Hosford• The minutes of the regAlar meeting of August 22nd were read and approved, The following bills were presented, after their approval by alderman Peal, chairman of the auditing committee: Faubus Cafe $5,80, J.Shelley "x+'3:50, Chas. Mc6lellan p.80 Troy Stockburger $1.50 O.W•Stappleton �§1 00 d' yle Allen 5.00, H Witt Rubber Corpo- ration•$�I3.00, Ben Porter $�I7.50, Elmer Boyd 2.00,Bud Collin Jp12.00, A.F.Shumate $20.00, and Willie Wilcox $I2,00. Notion was made by alderman Broson that the bills be allowed, as apppoved, and that the City Clerk be instructed to draw warrants for the same, upon the prope funds* Alderman Shook seconded the motion. whdch was duly passed by the Council. Alderman Sanders made a motion to accept the proposal of R.C.Frambers &.Co. to make the combined audit of the City Water Plant and the City General Records, fors the sum of $250.•00. Alderman Peal seconded the motion, which was passed unanimously by the Council • Alderman Sanders made a motion thaj the amount of $150.00 be allowed to pay for the "Allbright lot" at the corner of "Ida"and "Greg" Street for the use of the State IiighWay Department. Alderman Peal seconded the motion, and on roll call by the Clerk, was passed unanimously.
