Alderman Gregory made a motion that the action of the Council, at its regular meeting
of June 27th, 1938 with reference to the application of V7 H Williams to install a curb
pump and sign At the Phillips Motor Company be rescinded and that he be granted a permit
t the price of $10.00 for balance of the year. The motion was seconded by•Alderman
Carter and on the Clerk calling the roll it received the unanimous vote of the Council
and the Mayor declared the motion carried,
There being no further business, Alderman Hosford moved to adjourn. Alderman Carter
seconded the motion which carried unanimously and the Mayor declared the Council ad-
journed.

Peterson: The report of J.A.Peterson, as chairman of water improvement district #2 was
read by the Clerk, and after discussion by the council, Alderman Shook made a motion,
which was seconded by Alderman Bronson, that the Clerk notify Mr. Peterson to make out
a detailed #WOW statement of the financial condition of water improvement district #2
furnishing a list of all money collected and from whom received, together with a list of
of all disbursements, showing,to whom paid,and for what purpose, also amount of money on
hand at time this report starts, and also at the present time. Tdgether vjith all deposit
slips, receipts, vouchers, cancelled checks, warrants or any other papers`of any kind, t1.
ou might have,•showing: receipts or disbursements, and file this report with the City

[notify I The question of Privilege License for Real Estat dealers came up for discussion, o
deal Estate and it was decided, that, since some of them had pa their license for this year,
Dealers that the City Clerk be instucted to notify the other members of Real Estate dealers
to, either pay ES$ their license, orpresent a petition, signed by all the members
of Real Estate dealers, stating, thatthey desired no further protection from the City
and preferred not to pay any license this year.
Hport of Alderman Gregory, chairman of the Utilities Committee made a verbal report of the
work accomplished by a committee consisting of: Alderman Gregory, Mayor A,D,Mcallist(
committee City Attorney, Price Dickson and City Engineer, E.T.Brown, who made the trip to
to Little Little Rock, at the request of The Arkansas Municipal League.
And the entire committee expressed their opinion that a great amount of information
Rock,Arke hadbeen secured, that would be of unestimated value to the city, for the present, as
well as, future use.
With reference to an ice coupon book, purchased from the rFautt vile Ice Co., amount-

and The Chamber of Commerce $1.00 leaving a balance of $p4.00 to be paid by the City,
Alderman Bronlon made a motion that the City Clerk be in stvucted to draw a warrant
for $4.00 and Alderman Career seconded the motion , which was duly passed by the3g:
Council.
There being no further business, Alderman Carter moved to adjourn, Alder,
man Peal seconded the motion, which carried unanimously, and the Mayor declared the

Alderman Gregory moved that the bills be allowed as approved, and that the Clerk be
instructed to draw warrants for the same, on the proper funds. The motion was
seconded by alderman Ucker, and carried unanimously.
Acting Chief Of Police, Earl Hand presented the proposition of needing bars over the
windows of the office of the Chief of Police, and Alderman Ucker made a motion that
matter be referred t6 the building committee for investigation, and that they be
empowered to act. The motion was secondeYyAlderman Shook, and on thq Clerk calling
the roll, the following vote resulted; Ayes:r Bronson, Hosford, Peal, SaAders,Shook

of Sewer Street, which was torn up some time ago, for the purpose of laying an extension to th
Imp. Dis- sewer line, work to be started not later than ten days from date of notice.

After a discussion of report filed by A.J.Peterson, chairman of commissioners of Wate:
Improvement District # 2, the Council decided that the report was inadequate,and
Alderman Hosford made a motion that the City Clerk send a written notice to each memb,
of the Commission, requesting that they file a financial stateerent of the condition
of Water Improvement district # 2. Copy of notice follows:
" Tothe Commissioners of Water Improvement District No.2 of the City of Fayetteville,
Arkansas.
Gentlemen:
You are requested to file your annual report with the City Clerk of the City Of
Fayetteville, immediately. This report should contain ascomplete ii;mized state-
ment of collections made from property owners (except such payments as have been made
to the CityXUM Collector, and are shown b� his records),and also all expenditures
which you have made, together with all cancelled vouchers or checks. This statement
should also be accompanied by bank statement,which should be in balance with the
receipts and expenditures.
