Alderman Bronson. moved that the resolution be adopted. Alderman Ucker seconded the mo-
tion which carried unanimously and the Mayor so declared.
A motion to adjourn made by Alderman Sanders and seconded by Alderman Hosford was duly
passed by the Council and the Mayor declared the Council adjourned.

Bride $21.63, Alderman Ucker moved that the bills be allowed as mpproved and the Clerk
be instructed to draw warrants for same upon the proper funds. Alderman Bronson secondee
the motion which carried unanimously and the Mayo3b so declared.
Dr. D. L. Mallory, Tom Butt, and Van Albertson, law school students, appeared before the
Council with an ordinance which would prohibit placing of pay telephones in business
where they were not desired. After discussion Alderman Sanders made a motion that the
Mayor name a Committee of three to meet with the students for study of the ordinance
and report findings. Alderman Shook seconded the motion which carried unanimously, The
Mayor named as this Committee Aldermen Sanders, Hosford and Bronson.
Plans for the state fire school to be held May 13 were discussed by H. A. Ritgerod of
the Arkansas Municipal League and Carl Smalley travelling fire instructor. Alderman
Sanders moved that necessary bills for expenses up to $25.00 be sent to the Council by.
the Fire Chief. -Alderman Hosford seconded the motion which received the unanimous vote

The matter of a house on 4th street east of School built in the street was called to th(
attention of the Council. By motion of Alderman Bronson seconded by Alderman Carter the
matter was referred to the street committee,
The matter of parking on the square was carunmed over until next Monday night.
Alderman Peal moved that the Council go into executive session. Alderman Shook second
the motion, which was duly passed by the Council. After discussion of various matters
Alderman Hosford moved that they go out of executive session, Alderman Peal seconded
the motion which was duly passed by the Council. The Mayor declared the Council in
regular session.
Alderman Ucker moved that the Street Committee offer Fulbright Investment Company
$3500.00 for the building on the southwest corner of West and Lafayette Sts. if the
bridge is built or $1000.00 damages. The motion was seconded by Alderman Hosford. On
the Clerks calling the roll the following vote resulted: Ayes:- Bronson, Hosford,
Sanders, Shook, Ucker. Nays:- Carter, Peal. Absent and not voting, Gregory. The May
declared carried as there were five Ayes and two Nays.
By notion of Alderman Hosford, seconded by Alderman Bronson and duly passed by the
Council the Mayor deet red the Council adjourned. �tea'
