N Alderman Gregory moved that a separate vote be taken on the Emergency Clause. Alder- man Peal seconded the motion which was duly passed by the Council. On the Clerks calling the roll the following vote resulted; Ayes; Bronson, Carter, Gregory, Hosford, Peril, Sanders, Shook and Ucker. Nays; none. The Mayor declared carried as there were 8 Ayes and no Nays. _ Ordinance No. 797. An Ordinance to' be entitled "An Ordinance to amend section one of Ordinance No. 795 of the Ordinances of the City of itayetteville, Arkansas". Be it ordained by. the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Section One; Th,6t Section One of Ordinance No. 795 of the. Ordinances of the City of Fayettevilie, Arkansas, be amended, insofar as it affects the.bond required to be posted as a prerequisite to the granting of .permits provided in said Ordinance N0.795 so as to permit applicants to post a good and sufficient surety bond to be approved by the City Engineer, in lieu of the cash bond required by said Ordinance No. 795. Provided further that said surety bond may be perpetual or for a fixed length of time and may cover all applications for permits without the execution of an additional bond or the depositing of additional cash, at the discretion of the City Engineer, who shall co!rnunic•tte his instructions in writing to the City Clerk, with respect to said bond. Section Two; All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and because much confusion and inconvenience has arisen because of the en- forcement of the, terms of Ordinance No. 795, an emergency is hereby declared and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage, approval and publication. Alderman Bronson moved kequest:� that the matter be referred to the Building Committee. Alderman Peal seconded the mo- tion which carried and the Mayor so declared.
